“Do you remember who we are?” one of them asked. The one with the curly hair, red bandana and boyish complexion. They told me their names a few moments ago, I should remember but I don’t. I don’t know why they’re here, or why there are various screams when they go near the window in my room. I don’t know why they keep receiving phone calls from people they call ‘management’.

“Ash. It’s only been a few hours since she woke. They said it could take a while,” said the one with the blue hair.

“I know Mike. It’s just killing me that she doesn’t remember us. That she doesn’t remember him and I know that the fact that she’s in hospital is killing him right now,” ‘Ash’ replies.

“I know. Maybe we could tell her stories of how we met her and let him tell their story,” ‘Mike’ the blue hair guy suggested, looking at the slouching blonde hair figure asleep in the chair.

“Abby. It’s me, Cal.” ‘Cal’ says, “Is it okay with you if we tell you stories of how we all met?

I couldn’t speak. It is as if there was a lump in my throat. I didn’t try to either, instead I just nodded. Maybe this would help me remember who I am and where I’m from. Maybe.

It seems every time that I would try to remember I can’t. It’s as if there is something blocking me from remembering. Sometimes it feels like I’m repressing these memories as though they are too painful or emotional to bear.

All of the boys, except blondie, sat around my hospital bed. Red Bandana and Blue Hair on the right while Asian sits on the left.

“Before we start, can you please tell me your names again? I’m sorry I can’t remember them, it’s all a bit blurry and I’d rather not call you ‘Red Bandana’, ‘Blue Hair’, ‘Asian’ and ‘Blondie’,”

“I’m Ashton, Ash for short,” says the one with the red bandana.

“Michael, but you can call me Mike,” Blue hair says.

“I’m Calum, but call me Cal and I’m not Asian,”

“Who’s that?” I ask pointing at the figure still asleep on the chair.

"Luke. He, ah, he’ll tell you some other stories when he wakes up. He hasn’t been getting any sleep for the past fortnight so we didn’t wake him,” Cal says

 “Okay,”

“Okay, so it all started on the 15th of December, 2013”
