"My, my my... you have decided that you should have sided with me now haven't you," she said in a mischievous way.
"Yeah, never. I would have sided with you but I needed to protect father from the evil doings of the Queen."
"The Queen! The Queen! What do you mean the Queen?!"
"It's just... that's what they call her now that everyone thinks that you have died."
"People think that I am dead?!"
"Yes, after you were locked up they framed your death."
"What!!!!!!!!!!!" her scream was filled with anger, fear, and rage.
I had just noticed that I had broken another bubble I should have just left alone. I was obvious that she was furious that the King would do such a thing.
"What is wrong with that maniac!? He was fine last time I saw him! He's taking advantage of his power!"
"No, no the Queen is taking advantage of her power. I think she has him under a spell or something."
" ... wouldn't be the first time..." she mumbled under her breath.
"What... what do you mean?"
"He's just so gullible and week. You cannot possibly expect that this is the only time..."
"Um, yes I can..."
"Well, one day, precisely five days before your birth 'she' came into the picture."
"Who the hell is 'she'?"
"'She' is another one of your fathers' sluts. He's never been quite one for the homey calm people."
"But your... um... not calm. You're... a... total... MORON!"
"Thank you for agreeing. Anyways, your father has always been into other girls. I was just never enough for him and I shows..." I cut her off.
"What do you mean? What do you mean, 'always into other girls'?"
"I mean, when that Queen of yours jumped into his arms he was distracted by someone else!"
"Oh, oh I get I now."
"So you do. Anyways, at that time there were another one of those innocent little rascals that had no idea I even existed and of course, she was the one to tell me. The beast always tried to isolate himself from me whether we were at a dinner party or gardening in the back. Sure it seemed like we were happy but we never really were. It was an arranged marriage for god's sake! No one is truly happy in those."
"Well, actually just the other day I read an article in the daily chronicle and ..."
"Shut up about the daily chronicle!" she screeched, "Those things always lie!"
"Okay, okay. Cool down."
"Fine..." she murmured.
"Good..." I murmured back.
"Well! May I continue?"
"I believe you have finished, now get the f-ing hologram outta my room and leave me alone! Now!"
The hologram vanished and I was left alone, locked in her sleeping chambers to starve and slowly perish as the years went on. Okay, okay. I'm being a little dramatic. About two hours later the door was unlocked and the bars went back up to their waiting position. A small voice said "Dinners is ready my princess," and I walked out. The small voice ended up being Noemi.
I walked out to the dining room to see a long stretch table with a red velvet tablecloth and a chair sitting on either end. I sat down at the nearest chair and looked up to see Noemi next to me.
"What is going on man!"
"Dinner is served, why? Is something wrong?"
"Yeah somethings..."
She leaned over to my right ear and whispered, "I know if I say anything she will through me in the dungeon."
"Oh..." is whispered back.
"So, your new partner will accompany you in one moment."
"My, my partner?!"
"Quiet now miss, he is coming."
The trumpeters and the Horns jumped out of the royal entrance to play the native anthem. I stood up to the anthem and put my hands behind my back in tradition. A red carpet rolled down the hall and the royal announcer stepped out. (bum-bu-du-dum, bu-bu-bu-bu-bum)
"Here ye, here ye. I am proud to present his royal majesty, Prince Eric the 3rd of Doogonbert," the announcer proclaimed.
The Prince strolled out in a glamorous matter and walked up to his side of the table.
"Mighty fine day to be a livin' ain't it," he said as if he knew nothing.
"Yeah," I sarcastically slurred, "You must know nothing. You're as blind as a bat."
"Aren't you being harsh? Arranged marriages are tradition after all."
"I know, I know. It's just that the Queen..."
"You must talk positively of her majesty my-lady, she gets awful mad."
