I was walking down the hallway hugging my books to my chest like I always do. My hair was blocking my face... It was my "shield" in a way I guess. I had just turned a corner when I bumped into someone.
"Watch it fat ass!" One of the "popular" girls screamed at me when her small mirror compact fell out of her hand.
She shoved me out of the way and into the wall. I dropped my books. Everybody in the hallway laughed as they fell on the floor. I quickly picked them up and darted as fast as I could to my next class.
I got in and sat down in a desk and slamed my books onto it. I sighed and leaned back in my seat.
I wish this torture would end... But I'm a Freshman. And unfortunately for me, this was only the beginning. The beginning of the next three years that will be hell. It's only my second week, and already I'm getting bullied by the upperclassmen.
High school isn't "fun" like the adults say it is. It's bullshit what they say. Stupid bullshit.
But... this is my beginning. My name is Lexi. Lex for short. I'm 14 years old and a Freshman in high school. The bottom of the food chain... Lucky me...
