As you know, high school is a shark tank. Either, you're a shark, or you're a tiny little fish that's trying not to get eaten.

You always hear about the cliches about high school. Sadly, most of it is surprisingly true. From the first day of freshman year, you're labeled. Girls who are pretty are labeled "popular", guys who are good looking are labeled "hot" or "prince charming". And people who are labeled nerds are nerds. Most of the time... Well at least at this school. Labels are everything at this school. That's what makes it a shark tank.

Don't you wish you could go to school without being labeled? I wish it was that easy. But nowadays, nothing is easy.

I walked into first period and sat down somewhere in the middle of the classroom and crossed my arms.

I heard someone, who sounded annoyed, clear their throat.

"Uh hello? I'm saving that seat for someone." The voice said behind me.

"Well uh... I don't see your name on it. So that means it ain't reserved."

She scoffed. "Fine. Your fat ass could sit there." She said and got up. She started walking past me as she flew her bag around her shoulder and it hit me in the face.

"Ow!" I touched my lip with my hand and it was bleeding.

She turned around and looked at me. She laughed and continued walking.

I glared at her and wiped the blood off of my lip.

The teach came in and sat down. He started talking and we got into talking about the Greek Gods and Goddesses. For some reason I always found this subject interesting.

I think my favorite Greek Goddesses were Athena and Aphrodite.

*sigh*

I wish I had Aphrodite's confidence... I have no confidence whatsoever. I'm not skinny or beautiful...

"Lexi. Do you know anything about Mt. Olympus?... Lexi?"

I heard my name being called and I looked up.

"What?" I said.

Everybody laughed and the teacher repeated himself.

"Do you know anything about Mt. Olympus?"

I nodded.

"Well? Share with us."

"Stupid bitch." I heard someone a couple rows away mutter.

I sat up more in my seat. "Mt. Olympus is where all the Greek Gods and Goddesses lived. There were different realms. One was Poseidon's realm, he was the ruler of the seas and all it's creatures and he had a five-headed sea monster that protected his throne room from enemies. His sacred item is the starfish. Then, there was Hades who was ruler of the underworld. He had the river Styx that people had to cross to see him. And he had a two-headed dog named Cerberus that protected his throne room. His sacred item is the pomegranate. Then there's Zeus. The king of Olympus. Who tried to take over all the realms but Poseidon and Hades defeated him. Poseidon with his trident and Hades with his crown. Then there's all the other Gods and Goddesses." I finished saying.

I looked at the teacher and his eyes were wide. I looked around at the class and they were quiet.

"Well... Can anyone else top that off?" The teacher asked the class.

Everybody sat there quietly. I kinda smirked.

"Thought so. Well... Excellent job Lexi." He said.

I just smiled.

***a couple hours later***

Lunch time sucks. First of all, there's the food. And second, there's always the bitchy people who "reserve" the seats for their friends. I got my lunch, because I have to eat something small at least, and I went to go look around for somewhere to sit. I got by a table with a couple girls and boys sitting there. They saw me and put their bags on the rest of the seats.
