The seventeen year old brunette silently slipped on her finger less black gloves and her favorite hoodie as she listened intently to all the compliments her brother was receiving from the kitchen. Not once had her family invited her to join them for dinner with their church friends, but it was always easier for them to pretend she didn't exist when it came to having company over. Ian had many accomplishments that their parents could brag about, whereas Olivia never bothered to tell them about hers because Ian would always be the perfect child anyways.

Olivia tied her watch onto her thin wrist before covering it up with her sleeve and proceeded to shove any necessary items she needed into her pockets. She hadn't bothered to take off her shoes when she had returned from wandering around the woods near her home earlier, so she then climbed out her window into the setting night at once. Olivia stealthily removed her crimson colored bike from the garage, but as she was closing the door she spotted the full moon that hovered just above the tree line around her house. Olivia exhaled slowly as she grasped the jet stone necklace she always wore. Despite being unable to recall where or when she had received the necklace, it always managed help her feel better in negative situations. Jet was known to be a very protective stone, however, so it made sense that it would have such an effect on her.

Taking one final breath to sooth her anxious mind, she pulled her hood over her head and began to pedal to the city where her two closest friends wanted to meet. She could already feel the energy buzzing throughout the atmosphere around her, but she was determined to join her friends at the newest cafe in town since she hadn't been very socially productive in the past week or so. As she reached the edge of the woods, she abandoned her bike behind a large fallen tree. She knew that she received more attention than she wanted to just by walking around normally, so she didn't want to drag more attention to herself by riding through the streets and almost running others over in the process.

Olivia stood at the line where the familiar dirt path met the worn down pavement, taking a moment to gaze at the busy town that laid vulnerably in front of her. Spirits and humans alike roamed the streets in what seemed to be perfect chaos. No spirit crossed any human's path, nor did any human cross any spirit's path. Despite the majority of them being oblivious that their worlds laid directly beside each other, they were subconsciously quite aware of the various energy that was being emitted from the opposite world, therefore they rarely intersected with one another.

The mysterious brunette inhaled slowly before shoving her hands into her pockets and forcing her limbs to advance towards the new crystal cafe. She was careful as to avoid bumping into anyone in the process, but seeing as she was fully clothed besides her face, which was concealed for the most part by her hood, it wouldn't be too catastrophic if she were to brush against someone by accident. She specifically wore the clothing she had because she knew the town was always crowded on weekends, and it was dire that she avoided physical contact with strangers to the best of her ability in order to protect information about herself a secret. Though the humans that were, for the most part, unaware of the spirit world and magic in itself wouldn't be able to pick up on any information about her through touch, she would be certain to pick up plenty of unnecessary information about them that she had no yearning to discover. After all, energy was very easily converted to surrounding objects; those in touch with magic just happened to be extravagant conductors of energy.

The moment Olivia entered the busy cafe, a bell on the door rang loudly, attracting the attention of those sitting in that general area. She internally cursed at the obnoxious bell and quickly made her way over to her two friends sitting away from everyone at a booth in the far corner.

"Hello, Olive!" Aleck grins and stands from his seat in order to allow her to slide past him so she can sit closer to the window.

"Hey, looks like I'm late the to the party." Olive couldn't prevent the smile that spread across her face even if she wanted to. She cared dearly for her strange friends because they were the two people she knew she could be herself around without any of them feeling uncomfortable. They knew everything about each other, so there was no need for Olivia to feel closed off when she was around Emma or Aleck.
