The air was cold and humid. The humidity in the air made the makeup on my face feel sticky and my hair freeze. But then again feeling my face surpasses paying attention to the lesson I was forced to endure by the school. Trying not to fall asleep from boredom was probably the hardest thing I ever did, especially when you just want to pick up everything and just leave. Luckily for me the class ended and that meant going back home. Spring break was almost here, just one week away. And that meant I would move again. By now I consider myself a citizen of the world, however this time I was going back to the first place I've moved when I was little. Some of worst memories I have are from there. My best friend at the time Kayla had an older brother that seemed to enjoy making my life a living nightmare, for some unknown reason he was eager to make the life of an nine year old impossible, I would get it if it was just his sister but why specifically target me. He was a devil just at the age of eleven I cannot imagine what his twenty year old self is like, especially now that he has shifted and will take his rightful place as the alpha the day he turns twenty-one.
"Hey Alex, are you coming to the party tonight?" Joey asked. I was so close to avoid talking to anybody today. Erh.
"Joey, I did not see you there. No I was actually going to pack, you know, since I am moving in a week." I answer trying to walk as fast as I could home.
"Come on, just come for like an hour. Pleaseee." Damn this kid was persistent. No wonder I am friends with him. Now that I come to think about it he is the only friend I have here. But then again, that is what happens when mom and dad decide to move to a mundane town without werewolves, witches, vampires, anything, I would have even accepted zombies just to have contact with the supernatural, my world. After all I am a bloody werewolf.
"I guess I could make it for like an hour." I said fully knowing that I would regret it, I have been in this town for a year and a half and I am so ready to move out of here.
"Awesome, you are not going to regret this Alex it is going to be one of the best nights ever." Joey said as he walked towards his house on the opposite end of mine. "See you at eight."
"Bye, Joey." I said. Relieved that Joey had finally let me be I headed home dreading to start the packing, it is a lot to do in such little time.
"Alex, you are home! How about you start packing, sweetie, your things are not going to pack themselves." My mom spoke as soon as she saw me walk through the door.
"Hi mom, I was just about to go do that." I told her as I climbed up the stairs to my bedroom. "Oh and by the way I am going to a party tonight with Joey."
"Sure honey just be back by midnight." mom responded. Which was early by werewolf standards.
After two hours of packing and one snack break I decided to start to get ready for the party it wasn't that I was super excited but Joey is known for being punctual, so I decided to get ready for the party. I took a shower and decided to let my hair air dry my makeup simple but enough for a party, I wasn't a big fan of caking my face for these activities. I picked up a black skinny ripped jeans, a pair of black boots with some heel, a white blouse and my favorite leather jacket with the purple scarf.
Joey being Joey came at 8. As soon as I open the door he was waiting for me in his old pickup truck "You ready?" He said to me
"Yes" I answered
"Okay let's get this party started." The ride was pretty uneventful the music was playing on the radio making a nice background sound as soon as we arrive to the party, it was evident that it had been going on for a while now. The music was blaring, some teenagers were stumbling in the yard. However they seem to be having a blast.
