I awoke before the sun even came close to kissing the eastern mountains. I walked out of my room to finally see Silver awake. I walk to her kitchen and set a pot to brew of tea."What did you see?" I ask focusing on my task much more than is needed to brew tea.
"All of it." She says referring to my past, and I look down at the different tea leaves choosing my mixture.
"And my future?" I ask as the water starts to bubble.
"All most unreadible" She says looking me in the eyes. I swallowed, unable to fully understand why it is that she can't read my future.
"Why can't you read it?" I ask slowly as I stir in honey and agave into my tea.
"Mostly because there are several different routes your future could take, one leads you down the path of death, two leads you to a mate, three makes you a queen, four makes you captive, and five leaves you human. I don't know how. I don't know what you have to do to change your fate. I don't know what decisions you have to make to choose the right fate. All I know is this, you have saved Ryan and now he must save you an order for you to live." I take a deep long sip of my tea before dishing out tea for Silver. I nod my head thinking about what she said to me.
"Will he be king?" I ask tilting my head in his direction.
"Yes."
"With-or without my influence?" I ask raising my eyebrow at her.
"With." She says before grabbing the tea and walking away from me. She sits by her hearth and stairs into the flames.
"Oh and one last thing dear." She says looking straight at me. I nod my head listening. "You must see Amber on your way to Mystasia." I feel my stomach tighten up.
"Why?" I ask trying desperately not to panic.
"She can grant you the knowledge your seeking about your mate, and if you have another out there and if he does too." She says gesturing with her hand to Ryan. I nod my head again resigning to my fate. I take this as my leave to go and I walk to the room that I had originally woken up in, I rip open the rift and grab my bag shoveling what belongings I do have into it. I look at the mirror and fix my hair into braid and slip on new clean clothes. I fashion my sword and my dagger to my side. Before stepping out of the room and into the main room.
I notice Ryan talking to Silver and tune out their conversation heading straight outside. I notice Troy doing the same thing I had done before, preparing. For what exactly? I have no idea. But I know that I must be prepared for anything that may come our way.
"Are you really prepared to die for him?" I hear Troy ask from behind me as I start putting together my portable mirror.
"Yes, more than ever before knowing now that he is my mate. Are you?" I say making myself be active.
"Good, you may be his mate but you're nothing more than a science experiment, he is betrothed and is to be married three months after his arrival. The worlds would be in an uproar if he claimed you as his. It would cause a war. I like you, your strong, charismatic, brave, but not a queen. Your not what he needs." I could feel the anger building inside of me as he went on, jealousy overcoming me almost to the point of shifting. My hair now had streaks of flaming blue. Just as I was about to say something that included a sting of curse words in multiple languages, Ryan walks out. I quickly spin around and place a mirror on the ground and start the incantation.
I hear Ryan and Troy talking but I zone them out as I finish the spell the winds picking up swirling around us. I look at Silver and she mouths 'good luck' before stepping into the clearing and shifting to her true form. That of a dragon. We waited our two minutes before I stepped through the portal Ryan then Troy behind me. Silver flying high in the sky watching as we departed, if I'm lucky I will see her again, if I'm not this is the last time I will see a dragon.
