The next morning I started packing. Since I didn't have a solid place to call home, sometimes it felt as if I were living out of a suitcase. Everytime we moved my dad sold all the furniture, and most of our clothes. My dad would only let me bring what could fit in an old, tattered suitcase, and my carry-on. We liked to travel lightly. We would obviously buy new stuff when we got there.
Finally dad called a cab,and we were on our way to the airport. I rested my head on the window and looked outside. This was just another place , it was just a matter of time that I would forget all about it.
Moments passed and we were finally in the plane. As usual I put on my earphones "Real Girls Eat Cake" by the Janoskians started playing and a flimsy smile took place on my lips. What? I love every single kind of music not only the punk kind. After 8 hours of me listening to music we finally arrived to Australia.
After passing through security my dad called yet another cab and we went "home". The house was luckily already furnished, so I went straight to my room locked the door and went to bed. It's funny how during all this my dad and I hadn't spoken a single word to each other. With that thought taunting me, I went to sleep.
The next day I picked out my outfit and got ready for school. Dad woke me up and told me that I had school today. Oh joy. To say I was pissed is a total understatement. Usually my father gave me a day or two off from school when we moved, so that I could shake off the jet lag.
Once I was done I looked at myself in the mirrror and approved. Today I was going to wear a blue v neck with some black skinny jeans, not much. As I walked out the door I grabbed an apple and started munching on it.
"Bye" I said over my shoulder, and got no response. I closed the door , fetched my earphones and plugged them in. Instantly Diane Young by Vampire Weekend started playing. I mumbled along as I walked to my new school. Dad had texted me the directions while I was sleeping and I obediently followed them.
After 15 minutes of walking ,without even breaking a sweat, I stood in front of a big , brick building. Well here goes nothing, I thought, and walked towards the school.
