Getting To Know You

Chapter 5

Before I knew it, it was time for lunch. I stood in the cafeteria with a tray in my hand and looked around for an empty table.I always sat alone, I didn't care what people would think, they could just shove their opinions up their ass.

After I spotted an empty table, I sat down on it and started munching on my pizza.

Just then, I heard an impertinent bitch mention me, and then whisper something to her friend while wearing a disgusted face. I really couldn't stand people like her, who the hell did she think she was? Did she really think she had the right to judge me when she didn't even know me? Well, if she was going to be a bitch I have the right to be a bitch, too.

"Hey, you" I cupped my hands over my mouth as she turned to me.

"Fuck off " I yelled and she stared at me with a judgeful expression. I didn't really give a damn.

"Excuse me?" she asked incredulously.

"Oh, you heard me" I called out then, I put my earphones in, and made myself comfortable by putting up my boots on the table.

She opened her mouth to say something ,but before she could I flipped her off. That shut her up.

The blonde girl I asked directions to earlier laughed and sat down with me.

"Do you even know who she is?" she laughed.

"Do I really care?" I responded earning a smile.

"You are my new best friend" she said decidedly.

"Okay, new best friend what's your name" I asked, smiling.

"Kara, yours?"

"Katie"

"Oh my god , we are like the Kardashians up in this motherfucker"

I laughed, Kara was actually really funny, I was going to like this place.

"So, new best friend let's go sit with my old best friends" she stated matter-of-factly.

I shrugged and followed her over a table full of people, they were all laughing and talking and I felt akward that is until Kara spoke up.

"Guys, I present to you my new BFF, Katie. Katie, this is Calum, Luke, Ashley, Sophie, Ashton, Daniel, and Micheal" she said all in one breath.

We both sat down and I immediately started talking with Sophie and Ashley without looking up. We started having an intense argument between which was better, gummy bears or gummy worms which I totally won because let's face it everybody loves to bite a gummy bear's head off.

Then, somebody cleared their throat interrupting our important argument and us girls looked up with an angry look. Being so engrossed in the conversation I didn't really have the time to notice the five guys. I smiled when I noticed I kinda already knew one of them.

"What, we're kind of dealing with an important issue here." Sophie said shooting an annoyed look at Calum.

Calum pouted "You promised you would sit next to me" he wailed childlishly.

Sophie rolled her eyes, but the smile on her face gave her away as she moved over to sit next to Calum. Calum wrapped his arm around her waist and she planted a kiss on his cheek. To say I was shipping them was an understatement, I looked over to Kara and whispered. "Are they together or something?" she nodded and I smiled.

"Remember me?" Luke said, smirking.

"I don't quite recall Mr. Hemmings" I responded smugly.

"Wait, is this the hot new girl you were talking about?" Ashton asked.
