[This interview has been taken with the Second Place Winner of the Chick-Lit Category - ChavonPowell ]

WOCA: When and why did you start writing the winning book? What were your motivations?

WINNER: When and wht did I start writing this book? I started writing Forever and Always about 9 months ago. I'm more of a romance novel type writer. This was just an experiment with a style I haven't used before. My motivation is my best friend and Sister Haley. I wrote it for her.

WOCA: What inspired you to create the characters? What about the plot?

WINNER: My inspiration for my characters and plot? That would be my best friend Haley. I wrote this story for her. It's based off our lives and although I've changed some names and sealed the countries, most of this story has some of our real life struggles. No one was kidnapped though. That part is based off a dream. :)

WOCA: How did you get past the difficult moments, like the famous writer's block, short time or dislikes from other people?

WINNER: How did I get past the hardships and writers block? I can't really say I have had those moments. I only had lazy days of not feeling like writing but with all the support from my readers and Haley I always had something to write.

WOCA: Why did you enter the awards? Were you expecting to win the prize?

WINNER: Why did I join the awards and expectations? I joined spur of the moment. I didn't expect to win or even place. I love that I placed. A lot of talented readers put in some great work. I know a lot of readers don't like anime, but it just makes my story just that much more funny. I'm happy I entered now.

WOCA: What is your advice for the future writers?

WINNER: My advise for other writers. Just write with your heart. Use the negative comments as a booster something to egg you on. Let the negative drive you forward to new heights that you thought you couldn't reach. You gotta take the good with the bad and learn from both. Make your work shine by learning and growing. ❤
