Clementine's POV-

We walked into Lauren's house and it was gorgeous. It had so many nice decorations and paintings. It looked expensive. Lauren's parents must get good money.

I wonder if my parents ever tried to find me in those seven years I was gone.

I don't even remember who my parents are.

"Would any of you like something to eat?" Lauren's mother said.

"no thanks" everyone said.

Lauren told her mom everything and. she said we could stay at their house in the guest rooms.

"Mitch, can we go somewhere?" I said.

"Sure, where do you want to go?" he said.

"Can we go explore?" I said

"yeah go tell Lauren and come on"

I asked Lauren if it was alright, and she said yes.

We both decided to walk.

Mitch's POV-

Clem grabbed my hand so quickly, she seems so tense.

"Are you okay?" I said.

"yeah, I'm fine." she said with her head down.

"Seriously, I know something's wrong when you say "I'm fine" please tell me." I said.

"I'm just a little jealous of Lauren." she said trying to fight back tears, which I could tell.

"Why?" I said.

"She got back to her family." she said.

At this point we were in the middle of a walking trail.

"Clementine, I'm trying my best to be here for you, I feel horrible about what you've been going through. I'd do absolutely anything to try to make you smile." I said.

"Mitch, your all I have" she said with glassy eyes.

"that's not true" I said.

"how could anyone not love you, your so perfect, I'm so glad I met you, and I am truly obsessed with being able to hold you in my arms and being able to call you mine. When other boys look at you I get so jealous. Your all I ever needed." I continued.

"I feel the same way." she said and she started to cry.

I bent down and wiped the years away.

I kissed her softly.

"it hurts me to see such a beautiful girl cry." I whispered "you don't deserve any of this, heck your way to good for me."

She blinked and more tears fell. But she was smiling. That's all I cared about.

"Your smile is so adorable, you should do it more often." I said.

She got all red and I realized it was time to stop and sit down.

We found a near park bench and sat down.

She had stopped crying and was less red.

"I think we should get something for Ryan and Lauren for getting engaged, is there gonna be an engagement party?" I said.

"I don't know? And we should defiantly get them something." Clementine said.

Clementine's POV-

Mitch cared about me a lot and I could tell by the way he compliments me all the time, he can get me to turn red so quickly, I was always a blusher though.

Me and Mitch talked more about the gift and decided to walk back to Lauren's parents house.

Mitch picked me up bridal style and carried me back, I'm probably heavy to him and I feel bad but he always does it.

"Mitch?" I said.

"Yes, princess?" he said.

"I love you" I said.

"I love you more" He said.

I dozed off.
