Today is opening day! I woke up to breakfast on my night stand, last night was amazing. I didn't see Shareef so I picked my phone up to his text message.
Hey baby, I had to run to UCLA real quick. I'll see you at your opening. Love you!
I sent an 'I love you' back and started getting ready. I can't believe I'll actually have students and athletes coming in today. I'm so excited! I decided to grab my burgundy scrubs and my white Nike Airmax. I met Aubrey at the bottom of the stairs and headed out the door.
I arrived at the facility and went around to the front to unlock the doors. I greeted my new office Secretary Olivia.
"Good morning Olivia" I said to her
"Hey Ms. Brooke, here's the schedule for today" she said
I had 3 student athletes and one class today. To clear up any confusion, I run the office and I'm also a sports physician. I don't run the classrooms at all. The classrooms are for students who can't necessarily afford to take the class at a college campus, I decided to offer the class at a lower price.
I went in my office to grab my ringing phone, it was Brandon.
"Hey brother" I said
"Hey Brookie, you ready for the big day" he asked
"You know I am, I just got in" I said
"Okay, imma swing by later on" he said
"Alright, see you then" I said before hanging up
Once my facility is fully running, I won't have to come in everyday. I'll just come in when I have actual patients scheduled for me. Besides myself, I have 5 other physicians here and I made sure I hand picked them very well.
I was typing an email before Shareef walked in.
"Hey baby" I said before getting up to give him a hug
"Hey ma" he said before sitting down in my office
"So how does it feel" he asked
"I'm so happy" I said
"Everything is finally coming together for me" I said
We sat talking before my office phone rang
"Hello" I said
"Ms.Brooke, you have a patient here" Olivia said
"Alright, I'll be right out" I said
I gave Reef a peck on the lips
"Wish me luck" I said before he slapped my ass
"Hi, I'm Ms.Brooke, welcome" I said before shaking their hands. It was a female with her parent I'm guessing. I walked them into one of the rooms
"Okay, let me check out that injury" I said before she laid on the table
I lifted her leg and stretched it out before she flinched
"Alright, you have a strained hamstring. You will have to sit out on all activities for 3 weeks" I said
"Aw man, do I have to wear a brace" she asked
"Yes ma'am" I said before rubbing her shoulder
"I'm going to need you to take this therapy class on Wednesday's and Friday's. It will help with the pain and after the three weeks you can get back to Volleyball" I said before smiling
"Thank you Ms.Brooke" she said
"You're absolutely welcome, let me go get that brace for you and I'll be right back" I said while heading to our equipment room. I grabbed the brace and headed back to the room.
