"Parker! Come on!" Layla yelled from Logan's room across the hall from their own bedroom. "If we don't leave within the next ten minutes, we're going to be late!"

"Aren't we always late?" Parker called back.

Layla couldn't help but chuckle a little at that statement as she brushed Logan's little brown curls while he sat there trying to take his shoe off.

"No, darling, don't take your shoe off." Layla said gently as she moved his hand from his shoe. "We're going to get your pictures taken for your birthday. And you are just the most handsome little boy ever, yes you are!" Layla smiled as she placed quick kisses over his cheek and neck.

Logan giggled and put his arms around his mom's neck. Layla smiled as she returned his hug. "I love you, baby boy." She kissed his cheek before standing up and yelling for Parker again.

"Layla, calm down." Parker said as he walked in the room sliding his wallet in his back pocket. "I'm ready."

"I'm glad you let me cut your hair a little bit." Layla said as she fixed the front of his hair. "It looks good. Can you take Logan to the truck and I'll be there once I get my purse?"

"Yes, baby." Parker smiled softly.

Layla began to walk away, but Parker grabbed her by the waist and stopped her.

"You're beautiful, you know that?" He smiled before kissing her cheek.

"Aww." Layla smiled and kissed his cheek. "Thank you, sweetheart."

Layla started walking across the hall to their room to check her makeup and hair one more time before grabbing her purse, and Parker chuckled as he picked up Logan's shoes that he had took off.

"You know your mama's gonna put these back on you once we get there, right?" Parker said as he picked up Logan and walked out of the room.

Logan shook his head and said "mm-mm". Parker laughed and said, "mmhm she is."

About an hour later, Parker and Layla were standing behind a photographer as he took pictures of Logan.

"Go get in the picture with him, Layla, he's getting ill already." Parker said.

"Logan, you want Mommy with you?" Layla asked.

Logan stopped whining and sniffled before nodding and holding his arms out. Layla chuckled softly before walking over and picking him up.

"But this is your picture, baby." Layla told him.

"Maybe we should do the whole family first and then try to get him to do it by himself again." The photographer suggested.

"Come on, Parker." Layla said.

"You better be glad I love you, Layla." Parker said as he walked to them.

"Oh, hush, you have pictures taken of you all the time." Layla said as she wrapped her arm around Parker's waist.

"Doesn't mean I like it." Parker smirked as he wrapped his arm around Layla's waist and rested his forehead against hers.

Meanwhile, Logan had gotten comfortable resting his head on Layla's shoulder and was almost asleep. Then the camera flashed, and the photographer smiled and told them how good of a picture that was.

Two hours later and they had finally gotten the pictures Layla wanted of Logan and them with Logan. From the moment his head laid in his car seat, he was out. It was way past his nap time.

"So do you have all the stuff planned for the party tomorrow?" Parker asked Layla as he drove down the road.

"Yes." Layla smiled. "I just have to set everything up in the morning. Oh, and I need you to pick up the cake and ice cream tomorrow before the party."

"No problem." Parker nodded. "Who's coming?"

"You know, our friends, Payson, your parents, my parents are flying in in the morning and so is Lizzie."

Parker groaned lightly. "Not your parents and Lizzie, god, they barely care about you, Lays."

"They do care about me, P-"

"Oh yeah? Who was at the hospital with you for months? Who told them that you weren't being pulled off life support?"

"Parker, don't talk so loud. Your son is sleeping. And can we please not talk about that?"

Parker sighed, rubbing his face. "Layla, there's some things you don't know about what happened when you got in that wreck and you were in the hospital."

"Parker, I know they wanted me off life support. I know they had given up." Layla said as she reached over and held his hand. "But they didn't know how else to deal with it, they didn't feel like you felt because they weren't with me everyday. All that matters to me is that you didn't give up on me."

"I knew you'd come back to me, baby." He replied softly before lifting her hand to his mouth and kissing it.

"I'll always come back no matter what. I love you." Layla smiled.

Parker smiled softly as he glanced over at her. "Promise? No matter what?"

"Promise, baby." Layla smiled.

"Do you have our bags packed for tomorrow night? The plane leaves at ten till midnight, right?"

"Yes, and I almost have them packed, all except for what we use everyday. I'll pack the rest of the stuff after the party. Hopefully everyone will be gone before six."

"You know your parents and Lizzie won't." Parker mumbled.

"Their plane leaves to go back home at eight." Layla shook her head and chuckled softly. "They know we're going on a little vacation."

"I can't wait, baby." Parker smiled. "I'm glad you picked the mountains. It's the perfect time of year."

"I agree. But anything is perfect with you." Layla smiled. "We got a perfect little baby to prove that."
