Chapter 3: Soul Reapers Vs Teacher

Fast forward back to Ichigo and Rukia's Time...

Being sucked into the portal, Ichigo and Rukia are teleported to someplace new and unfamiliar. After smacking into the hard cold dirt ground, both of them came to. "Where did the Hollow take us to?" Ichigo asked out loud while getting back up to his feet. Rukia stood up next to him, dusting herself off. "It doesn't look like we're anywhere unusual" she observed "A forest somewhere" she concluded. The place did seem very normal. "Maybe this is another part of the planet" Ichigo guessed. The plants and trees looked like everyday foliage you would see anywhere. Looking around and not too far away, Rukia spotted a dirt path with faint footprints. She walked over for a closer look. "I think your right Ichigo. Look. They look like average human footprints" she observed. Ichigo came up beside her to look at them. "Let's follow them. It's possible we can find someone to help us" he said. "Can we even switch back to our human bodies?" Rukia asked before Ichigo managed to take a step. Good question. The two of them tried to revert but nothing seemed to change. "I think we're stuck as Soul Reapers for the time being. Either way, we're here to find that hollow. So I think this will be fine" Ichigo said. Rukia nodded, "Let's go find the hollow before it causes any trouble" she said. The two of them set off to follow the dirt trail up the mountain.

Making their way to the top, Ichigo and Rukia came across a clear opening. "Looks like we made it" Ichigo observed looking around. Ahead of them they could see a bunch of teens playing some  sport. "A school?" questioned Rukia. That what it looked like. So far no one seemed to notice their presence. "Who has a school built all the way on top of a mountain?" Ichigo asked finding the idea stupid.  Rukia looked at him but she had to agree with him. The place did look a bit run down and uncared for. The two of them stepped foot onto the dirt made track. "If there are people here, then the hollow surely would be here. They're all easy targets" Rukia concluded. The only problem was there was no sight, sound or aura coming from any direction close by. The hollow wasn't here. "Our best bet would be to hang around here, until it does decide to make a move" Ichigo insisted. Who knows how long that would be? "You know Ichigo. I have a weird feeling about this place. There may be humans here but it just doesn't feel the same to me" Rukia admitted. Now that he thought about it, this place did feel different. Not in a bad way, but there was something about it.Maybe the hollow did take them to another place, not of their own. "Ichigo there it is!" Rukia pointed out bring Ichigo out of his thoughts. Out of the building came out a figure that had the hollow's appearance. Tentacles, a slim body, beady eyes and a wide smile. But this one had a yellow color instead of a usual black and white. "Why is it dressed like that?" Ichigo questioned finding it odd that it was wearing clothing. "It could be its disguise. There might be a lot we don't know about this hollow. Only we can see through it. We better do something before it kills everyone here" Rukia sounded urgent. "Right." Ichigo agreed. The two of them quickly sprang into action and ran ahead at full speed, zanpakutos drawn.

"That's all for today. Go change" Kurasama instructed. "Hurry up now class. We're going to be dissecting frogs today" Korosensei said excited. "Ewww frogs", Kayono said disgusted as she passed. Lightning quick, a strike came from out of nowhere and hit Korosensei. He crashed through the classroom window. "What the hell?" Kurasama was surprised. Hearing the crash, everyone stopped in their tracks. "Is it that monster again?" Kurahashi asked urgent. Korosensei quickly recovered and got back up.He dusted the debris off. "Didn't think you'd be back so soon" Korosensei assumed the creature was back. "Everyone get inside" Kurasama ordered as he and the students retreated inside the building.

"I didn't think you would be so easy to find" Ichigo taunted.

Korosensei immediately recognized the difference in voice, scent and outlines. "You're not the creature who attack me before" he observed.

"Don't try to play mind games on me. It's useless" Ichigo growled.

"If you're looking for that creature. It's not here and I am certainly not it" Korosensei explained.

Ichigo thought about it. No. The hollow was trying to confusing him. "I don't believe you" Ichigo told it tightening his grip on his zanpakuto's handle. Rukia was thinking the same. "Less talk Ichigo. It'll only try to get you to reconsider" Rukia told him as she lunged forward. Korosensei dodge her attack with ease.

"I'm am telling you the truth. But if you two won't stand to reason, I guess I have no choice but to teach you a lesson and make you understand" Korosensei gave in as he prepared to fight.

The students all looked out the windows eagerly. "Why can only Korosensei see it?" Okano asked. "Korosensei's senses are more acute than any of ours are. Maybe he is fighting ghosts" Takebayashi guessed. "GHOSTS!" Sugaya squealed. "I wouldn't be surprised if this campus was haunted" Hazama confessed.

Using his Mach 20 speed to his advantage, Korosensei got in some strong blows. Throwing around both of the Soul Reapers with ease. "This thing is a lot faster than I remember" Ichigo noticed as he hit the ground. Getting back up, he wasn't going to give us so easily. Raising Zangetsu, Ichigo launched a Getsuga Tenshou. The beam raced towards Korosensei who easily dodged it, creating a vertical ditch in the ground.

"That's some power you have. I'm impressed" Korosensei commented. From the battle he could tell that the two mysterious beings only meant to go after him, or rather that creature and meant no harm to his students or anyone else. But what could he do to convince them? If he didn't have to hurt them, he rather not have to.

Supporting each other, Ichigo and Rukia work together to attack Korosensei. But not mattered how quick they were, they couldn't land a hit and came so close so many times or so they thought. "Why is it so fast?" Rukia wondered. "I don't know. To get even close to that speed, I might have to use my Banaki" Ichigo told her. Korosensei continued to counter every attack the soul reapers threw at him. Not that Ichigo and Rukia were incapable of fighting against Korosensei,  it would take more effort. Ichigo could recount many more challenging battles, but what was it about this one that made it so different. This thing has incredible speed and power. But why couldn't he even land a scratch on it?

"You got this in the bag Korosensei!"

"You can do it!"

"Go Korosensei!"

The student's cheered seeing that their teacher had the clear advantage.

Coming to a realization mid battle ,as he heard the students cheering, Ichigo started to rethink some things. Perhaps the he was telling the truth. Maybe it was a coincidence it looked exactly like the hollow he was searching for. But what exactly were the chances. They were 'in a different world'. Anything could be possible at this point. "Rukia I think this whole thing is a misunderstanding" Ichigo confessed "I'm not sure how, but I feel like fighting this thing is wrong by the way the students are cheering for him". He put Zangetsu away. "I think you're right. These students know that their teacher really looks that way. This has to be a coincidence" Rukia agreed as she ceased her aggressive posture and put her zanpakuto away as well. Ichigo could see it clearly now that he was calm. This thing was in fact their teacher and they knew it was. "I see you came to an understanding" Korosensei noticed as he approached them, returning to his usual docile state.
