(a/n in honor of a kind reader and a glitch, im finally publishing, but i cut up my long ass chappy)

After about an hour of driving at a pace unlike Jimin would've preferred, the pair finally reached their destination.

"Jiminie~" Jungkook softly pushed the smaller boy as he rested in a peaceful manner.

Slowly, the sleepy boy's eyes twitched and his eyelids rose slightly.

"Kookie," Jimin spoke groggily, his tired voice evident. "Where are we?"

"In our place, baby. Our favorite place."

"We don't have--Oh right. We're there."

"Of course, Chim. Tonight is going to be very special. Now get up, baby boy."

The boys made their way out of the relic of a car.

Jungkook laced his boyfriend's hand with his own as the small boy yawned. The smaller hand squirmed in the grasp of the larger. Jungkook noticed this and frowned. He couldn't understand why their hands didn't fit like puzzle pieces, aching to be reconnected when separate.

"I'm so tired. How long were we even driving?"

The younger let go of the obviously uncomfortable chubby fingered hand. Jimin couldn't stop himself from feeling liberated outside of the younger's grip. But also, slightly disappointed that Jungkook didn't try to reattach their fingers and instead placed his own hands into his jacket's pockets after the sudden release. "It doesn't matter Jimin. We're here now." The brunette spoke curtly.

"O-okay." Jimin tried to decipher whether the words the brunette just spoke were meant to be kind and loving or to shut him up. Jimin went with the former. It made him feel better about himself and he truly hoped his boyfriend wanted to be kind and loving.

In a sense, he was right.

As they stepped onto the grass that looked as if it had gone through hell and back, Jimin felt nostalgic for all the times he had walked around the field to think, to cry, to breathe. Sometimes to sing. He had sung to his mother as many times as he had asked Yoongi his favorite question. As many times as Yoongi hadn't answered.

"Why are you smiling?" Jimin would ask his mother the same question after he sang. She would tell him a different answer every time. So, he kept singing. Yoongi, however, hadn't given him a single answer. So, he kept asking.

He remembered all the times he came with dates. Jimin fell in love too easily. Or at least, he thought he was falling in love. So, he brought a new love interest to this beloved spot every week as he was growing up. Sometimes a guy, other times a girl. However, once Jimin became more honest with himself and truly understanding his sexuality, the amount of girls that sat under that old, rotting tree decreased and decreased into nothingness.

He had brought Jungkook once, after they had started dating, maybe last year. The two boys had been so happy then. They probably even hooked up on the same, sloppy grass.

However, the memory that made Jimin weak in the knees was one very different from all the rest. Here, he met Yoongi.
