"Do you hear that,Shiro?" Uzume had asked while sitting on the
couch. The white Shiba- Inu was sitting beside her with his head locked onto the front door. his dark eyes keen and filled with determination. he was going to protect Uzume from danger, no matter what happens to him.
The girl had stood up and made her way to the door,a large kunai tightly locked in her fingers. she heard footsteps and a then a short pause.
with a deep sigh,Uzume had opened the door only to see-a slim vase of roses sitting in front of the door. She had rolled her eyes; knowing her new school, this was probably from the one of the guys at school. This has been happening to her since she first arrived to the hidden wind village. Her and Shiro both were greeted with stares and whispers.
she's from the hidden leaf- one of the last members of the Uchiha maybe?
it made her sick thinking about that night, but she couldn't fully wrap her head around it. The guy she loved- killing everyone but her...and Sasuke.
Her only friend.
she had wondered if he was okay, but she knew he wasn't. she knew he was building hatred- hatred for Itachi. Her hands were forcing themselves on the cold vase. Her eyes were watering, as she built up so much...
Shiro's barking snapped her out of her thoughts, and she had looked down at him. He looked sad, like he too, was betrayed.
She remembered how she had met Shiro. how she became what she was. how she got to where she was. she wanted to ask him questions.
I'll answer them all when the time Is right. you'll need all the strength you can muster...
That was something he would say to her when they walked home. it was considered adorable to see Sasuke on Itachi's back while the two headed home, but when Itachi took Uzume home, he held her hand and constantly looked down at her, seeing if she was still by his side.
Those were the eyes of deceit. she had thought, but there was one thing that stuck by her through and through-Shiro.
Setting the case on the counter,She reached down and rubbed Shiro's head, fully holding the dog. she wanted to cry-to let out her anger, but her body wouldn't let her. Her body felt like it was being told by Itachi to strengthen up.
So she did.
Holding her large razoran and strapping it onto her shoulder,Uzume walked out of her small apartment. her eyes casting around the small loving room before locking the door behind her.
Konoha was hosting this year's Chunin exam, and she was qualified to go-training was harder than she'd normally expected.
"Uzume-san!" the flock of blushing boys came to her as the girl and her dog made their way to the forest for training. Their behavior was something you would expect a girl to do, but she also has her share of female blushing over her natural beauty. The boys would follow her until Shiro was beginning to get fed up and chased after them, bitimg back sides and growling. Uzume could not help but smirk. this was amusing in a way.
"well, you're here early." A voice called out from behind her. it was Aki-sensei. his bright red hair was held up by his head band, and his eyes beamed brightly. when his eyes met Uzume, she didn't smile back.
"you know, you could always learn how to smile. I bet you're twice a pretty when you smile."
The girl rolled her eyes and looked away.
"I lost my will to smile, it's for the weak." Her tone was cold and spineless. she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Aki-sensei fished his hands in his pockets and shifted his feet.
"was that what he told you?" Aki-sensei asked, making her eyes lock on to him. it felt like a anger to him, like a viper cooling back and preparing a bite so vicious, he could die just by staring.
"that's none of your concern." she says, while turning her back towards her.
in Aki-Sensei's eyes,Uzume looked exactly like any Uchiha would: black hair, good looking, stuck up personality, the whole package. He knew then and there; from when the Stealth messenger brought her,to when the she started her training.
The girl was of Uchiha blood. she was born into perfection, her scores proved very well-she was actually the only one who advanced to the Chunin exams. The villagers saw that this was disgraceful. A girl from a different clan came and made home to this village, and she excels on all of her exams and has been made Genin of the Hidden Wind. She was an outsider.
The children would never play with her; the girls would gossip and pick fun with her, and the boys would bully her.
she had no family, no siblings...she's a nobody.
Frankly, those boys were right. Her father and mother were both killed. Itachi and Sasuke, the closest thing to her brothers may have forgotten her. she had no one. she was alone. she was a nobody.
"Let's get going,I don't want to miss a beat of training, especially when I have an exam as special as this." she declared and the master and his student began to train.
"stupid,Naruto." Sasuke came into his room with a loud thud. he had slammed the door as he normally did when he's in a far worst mood. throwing his backpack down on the ground as he laid on his bed.
He hated everything-just like he promised.
almost everything.
There was something in this world that he loved more than anything in this world. He remembered someone he once knew. a girl with long brown hair and brown eyes. she was scared of everything, especially him. if that person was still the way she was- he would be okay with that.
how do I know you? he would ask himself that question daily, when he closed his eyes he had seen her. Brown hair covering her eyes from him like a mask, when he reached up to touch her, she would move back away from his hands.
"I don't have time for this..! " he rushed out of the room. Hoping to do some training. It's been days since they had come back from the Hidden mist village, and Sasuke needed to train for the exams. This would mean that he'd have to see Naruto again. He didn't care, he just wanted the loser out of his way.
But at the end of it all-that same girl was burned into his eyelids. He still needed to know why.
"Your aim with that thing is getting better." He praised. Uzume simply caught the razor with one hand and attached it to her waist. the tree was split in half while the one close to her was covered in Shuriken and Kunai marks. Her Kunai was stabbed through the wooden surface. "we must get going.." she says, before turning away and grabbing her backpack. "The sooner ,the better. we will make it to the village in the morning...if we hurry."
Aki-Sensei sighed and watched as the young girl walked away.
"What are your dreams,Uzume?" he asked out of thin air. the question made her stop.
"my dream is to protect someone I love dearly, and to help him achieve his goal." she says while pulling her hair behind her ear. the wind blowing a strong blow that made her hair dance. "my dream is to become as strong as can be, if not stronger."
At that,Uzume walked her way back from the forest.
I look forward to seeing you again,Sasuke.
