14. The Trump Card's disadvantage

Sasuke stood there alone. Farther away, He could see Itachi's body laying there, presumably dead. That jutsu took a lot out of him. it was his most powerful jutsu. He looked begins him and saw Uzume on her hands and knees. rising from the rubble of dirt.

I'm alright. She looked at him, slowly getting back on her feet.

"It's finally over.."He said, his head going back as his Sharingan faded from his eyes. Uzume was on her way to him until she paused. dropping to he knees as she looked over to where Itachi was.She saw movement. A twitch in his fingers as he took in a deep breath.

how can he still be alive? She housed in thought.Sasuke looked over at her.shooting her terrified look and grew nervous.

"Uzume..."

"Was this the death you had plan for me?" Sasuke looked over at the other Uchiha. Now on his knees, he coughed out more blood. Itachi wasn't going to last long. His time was running out,and he knew it.

Sasuke growled as the curse seal began to take over his body. He didn't care if Uzume saw it or not. His hair began to change into a dark blue, or a lightened shade of, black. his skin changing also.

"DAMN YOU!!" His voice roared out like an angry beast. Itachi's body rose to his feet as a large amount of Chakra formed around him. it looked like an upper torso of a warrior.

"If I hadn't have this,I would've been dead...you really have got stronger,Sasuke." He said.  "Now it is my turn, I'm going to reveal to you my final card: The Susano'o ."

Uzume stared at the size of The Susano'o . It was larger than she had ever seen. her eyes were closed tightly as she felt the blood trickle down her face. She thought of Sasuke dying before her and her becoming useless to him. Her dream would have died as Itachi stood over his little brother's body.

"What of you-....!" His eyes shifted towards where the young girl stood,or stood from. her eyes were different. Her eyes were filled with hatred and strength. She walked towards the battlefield with her head down and her hands balled to her side. her chakra was escalating as it poured out into a light blue aura circling her and the Uchiha boy.

Has she had this power before?...What is this?

Itachi looked at the young girl and stared in awe. Her eyes- they were like his. This was her Mangekyo Sharingan. This was her prowess coming out of her.

"Itachi, I will not let you kill him." She declared.

"you, too, have gotten strong,Uzu-hime ." He said, as he grew closer. The red warrior, attacking the Azure one. The warrior dodged and attacked with a heavy punch, as well as driving her staff into the red chakra.

Meanwhile, Sasuke was debating on using Orochimaru and the sanin's power.

You want to use it, don't you? To protect that cute little girl and a child that may not even be yours...She's risking her life and her child just to see you having your revenge...I can help you...I can help you protect her. wasn't that what you've wanted, my dear Sasuke? You've wanted revenge on Itachi...I can give you just that.

Uzume looked over her shoulder and saw Sasuke holding on to his arm, groaning in pain. Her brief furrowed at how much chakra he's lost.

"I'll take care of you when this is done." She finally said.

"Just leave,I don't need your help.Now go!" He yelled out. Uzume looked back at Itachi, who looked over at his brother. "I'll never forgive myself if you risk yourself to help me."

"This is my dream. to see you safe and alive. To see Itachi dead at your feet.That was what I wanted,and I will help you with that."

Sasuke stumbled back onto his feet and met her eyes.

"You've helped me weaken him...that's all that matters,Now go." Uzume looked back at Itachi and began to run. Her eyes watering in tears as she left Sasuke alone.

As she looked back one last time,she had seen large snakes slithering towards Susano'o. Fighting each other. As one snake drew back to strike. an orange flash began came from the Itachi's side. Uzume had heard stories about what she had seen in the warrior's hands. The Totska blade.

She watched as all of the beasts heads were chopped off except for one.

"It finally emerges.." Itachi says just as the beast opened its mouth and sliding out was Orochimaru. Laying on the snake's tongue, he hurled out a long sword from his mouth.

"This is it. this is what I've been waiting for. Thanks to you, that repressing chakra is gone , and now I can take this boy's body as my ow-"

He couldn't finish. Itachi's warrior drove the blade into Orochimaru, who only chuckled.

"Fool, did you think that was going to work."

"Well, what are you going to do next,Sasuke?" he called out. As the blade left the snake,Orochimaru came along with it. Being sucked into the Totska blade. He was choking our again, shooting more blood as he grew closer to his little brother. Leaving Sasuke defenseless against his brother.

"And now, your eyes are mine."

Uzume ran closer to Sasuke by the time Itachi was getting closer. She could see him slowly dying-more closer towards death with each step he took. his eyes were losing it's dark color. Uzume was too frozen to do something,but when Sasuke looked over at her. his face said it all.

This is it..

Uzume's eyes watered as the world around her began to stop. She watched him draw his Kunai and throw it. it didn't work. He tried his kunai strings-a bomb. This didn't work.

"I'll take my time retrieving them." Itachi said, before doubling over and vomiting through his hands and all over the floor.Then, he was back on his feet and making his way  towards Sasuke.

"My eyes...mine."He says while reaching out his hand.

  his sword and charge towards Itachi,but the sword bounced off his shield, and knocking him back onto the ground.

Itachi's was invincible.  This fight was over.

"Get up,Sasuke...Get up now!" She calls out, while holding her shaking hands over her rampaging heart.

But Itachi was close-too close. Sasuke stammered back as the older Uchiha held out his hand as if he was going to gauge out his eyes out. Uzume saw his legs trembling from miles away. She could see the far in his eyes. Itachi was right on him now. His fingers getting closer to his face.

Uzume closed her eyes and began to sob.

Then there was silence. And a sickening thud.

Itachi was laying on the ground next to his brother dead.  A relieving smile on his face. it was like this was what he had wanted. Uzume blindly ran towards Sasuke-her eyes blurry as she ran into Sasuke's weak and exhausted arms. Sasuke had a lost of lament on his face as he stated into space.  Uzume slid down to her knees and lightly brushed her fingers against Itachi's face. The blood on his cheeks like tears. the burn marks on his arms. Her eyes wept for a long time as she mourned the death of her crush- a man she had loved so deeply. She had closed his eyelids and kissed the bridge of hisNorse nose. it was like part of her sites too. She thought she was free from her hatred, but she only felt  more sorrow than she ever did.
