1700 England,
Rozaline had aged 50 years since that fateful night she'd murdered Sullivan, no one could have ever guess that though her face, body, and voice still sounded like that of a 18 year old woman. Her parents had long since died. She was fulfilling her obligations and was given her first target. Richard Wiess
"Darling could you please get dressed we have an event tonight with the governor" Rozaline said to her new suitor
Richard Wiess , had been married countless times before yet all the marriages had ended in his wife leaving him due to his constant cheating with different secretaries and clients. Rozaline had been courting with him only a short few months before he made it official and moved her into his large and dim estate. It wasn't hard for Rozaline to gain anyone's ,let alone his ,trust; her beautiful face and manipulative eyes could fool anyone to her stone heart. She was very happy with how easy it had been to persuade him the sooner the 245 days the better. Rozaline thought to herself.
She was particularly anxious to get to the Governor's dinner, which her boyfriend was running dreadfully late for. A public appearance as his soon to be fiancé would surely seal the fait of marriage. Rozaline pinched her bodice in tight and layered her nicest maroon velvet dress. Being that Richard was involved heavily in international trade, himself and the governor were business associates. But with international trade, comes international crime and Richard knew all about that, he was involved in several human trafficking rings and would sell 'exotic' women to European suiters that would pay steep prices. Rozaline was not oblivious to this, in fact she knew him better than he knew himself. She had been studying him long before their first interaction. Angie had taught her how to seek out the dark forces to gain information about her task. She got names of every man, Richard being her first tasked kill. She studied his temperament, his crime, his business, and yes, all 4 of his marriages.
"Darling are you ready" Richard asked stumbling out of the wash room looking a bit disheveled. He was a 45 year old man with a wider build, he was shorter than most and wider than most as well. His hair had gone grey already and he was quite wrinkled for a man of only 45.
"I have been ready dear" Rozaline tried not to sound as annoyed as she was; however it still came out with a slight snarl.
"Shall we load ourselves into the carriage" he said
"Let's" Rozaline said with a semi annoyed smile that quickly dropped as she turned around.
During the carriage ride he attempted to hold light conversation but Rozaline was much to focused. this dinner was important Bathomet had hinted days earlier that he would be taking human form to see to it that Rozaline was gaining traction and hopefully tonight would be the night Richard asked Rozaline to marry him. If so then her task could be accomplished in the window allotted.Pulling up to the governors house Rozaline beckoned for Richard to aide her out of the carriage, he did so with the grace of a bed bound pensioner. Rozaline laser focused on trying to find Bathomet in the most casual way possible, but still the look of firm focus on her face couldn't be shaken. Richard escorted her into the main hall of the Governor's mansion, her heels echoed as they clocked against the white, marble flooring. The room was about 50 feet tall with a painted ceiling and gold trim, the excessive lighting bouncing off of the mostly pastels and white color palette. And gave the room a glowing appearance. The chatter of the throng of people socializing was amplified times ten due to the room's architecture, even the violins sounded louder than normal; however, this could have been due to Rozaline's hyper focused nature. As Rozaline noted the simply dreadful decor she was swiftly brought to the governor himself. He stood about six foot three and wore disgusting grin, he was the type of man that could make one of his glances feel like a full body blanket. His salt and pepper hair was slicked back with oil and the diamond on his lapel shown brighter than the room. He grinned a Rozaline through yellow teeth and thin lips. "This is my love Rozaline" Richard said triumphantly. "Oh, this is the fair and kind Rozaline I have heard so much about?" He smiled and took her hand. "Why I must say your boyfriend's description did not do you justice" he leaned down and kissed her hand. Rozaline felt an inner disgust shiver through her body at the contact, but smiled nonetheless. "Why thank you Mr. Governor " Rozaline said managing to fake a flattered chuckle. The Governor's wife stood beside him, she appeared to be about 30, she looked much like Rozaline did before she underwent her transformation. A breathtaking woman indeed, Rozaline hadn't the slightest clue why a woman of her caliber would put up with a sick and twisted man like the Governor, but that wasn't any business of hers nor did it matter for her objective. The Governor spoke business with Richard while Rozaline and The Mrs. spoke about niceties and the wifely duties that the Governor's wife assured her would be 'the absolute best'. Her glance carried off surveying the room, and finally she saw him, "excuse me darling I have to take a trip to the lavatory I'll be back in a moment" she said hastily as she walked with purpose towards him. Her eyes met his with intensity, and they soon ducted into a caveat of the massive home. "My disciple" he said with a deep snarl. "I expected you dear bathomet" she said with reverence.
"And I you Rozaline, you shall commence this ritual on the next full moon exactly a fortnight and a half from now. Tonight you will be asked for your hand in marriage in front of all his pestilential friends" Baphomet's voice roared in her soul his voice didn't have to project aloud to shake her inner core. "My demons will be with you to clean up the inevitable mess, you will summon them after the ritual is complete."
"Understood, how shall I preform the ritual my sovereign leader?" She said in gentle manner." His eyes have been the downfall of his sin, for if your eyes cause you to sin it is better to poke them out , his hands have dealt dirty money and fueled a culture of misogyny and mistreatment of women as pawns. If your hand causes you to sin cut it off for it is better to enter heaven blind and crippled then not at all. But us Rozaline, will send them to hell. Draw the ancient sigil of my own soul and let me collect his soul on which I have been waiting an eternity"
"Yes Lord of the Underworld I shan't disappoint" she said with a slight bow of her head.
"I am pleased Rozaline, once you reach success of sending me the seven souls I desire, I might consider giving you a more substantial role in the underworld my gem" he said it with an almost teasing manner as if trying to make her work extra hard
"I am honored with your words master" she said very pleased with this outcome.
As she tilted her head back up he was gone and a cloud of black smoked loomed where he once was. She felt a sickness overcome her for a moment as if her humanity was lightly disgusted with the presence of such a powerful and malicious being. She knew her deadline was looming and she joined the party once more. She joined back with Richard, he grabbed a glass of champagne from the server and began to ring it with a spoon.
"Attention everyone" he said, the room suddenly fell silent.
"All of you know that I have been a man of my work, devoted to my business and solely thus. However, that changes tonight, I have grown fond of a very special young woman. And If she would have me, I would love to make her my wife"
He knelt with a massive 7 ct. sapphire appearing out of his left pocket. The women in the room all ogled at the size of it and began murmuring about how romantic it all was. Rozaline acted flustered, and taken back by the beautiful ring.
"Yes of course!" She said enthusiastically
"A gem for my gem" he said gliding the ring onto her finger, then bringing her bedazzled hand to his mouth for a kiss. She was excited and stared at the ring into the night.
"Too bad I have to kill him, he has good taste in rings" Rozaline thought to herself.
