"Trust me. You're not mad. You're about as sane as I am.".
A sinister smirk was plastered on her face as she spoke. To be honest, it scared the shit out of me.
"But you're not sane. This isn't possible." I replied.
"Oh yes it is. You just need to...

I didn't feel anything. My brain said it was just shock, but the rest of me felt like I was dead. Jared couldn't be dead, he just couldn't.
"Eliot." Charlotte whispered as she put her hand on my shoulder.
I walked away abruptly and stood farther away from Charlotte. I refused to look down to see Jared's cold and lifeless face.
"Eliot." Charlotte said again.
I sighed before walking out of my apartment, making sure that I closed the door. I had one destination on my mind and I knew I had to get there.
The bar.

"Hey handsome."
I lifted my eyes from my twenty eighth shot of vodka to the voice that had interrupted my thoughts. A woman with bleach blonde hair and a body that was obviously changed due to plastic surgery.
"Hey." I replied emotionlessly.
"You wanna get out of here and go to mine?" She asked as she stepped closer to me and ran her finger down my chest in an attempt to be seductive.
These girls reminded me of Jared. He'd always be around them and he'd always have sex with a bunch of them.
"No." I answered.
I just wanted to drink my sorrows away.
"You sure. I can show you an amazing time." She smirked as she forced her way onto my lap.
"He said no. Now get off him and walk away." A familiar voice hissed.
A familiar voice that I really did not want to hear.
"He can answer for himself." The woman cursed.
The girl was ripped off my lap and a loud crack was heard.
"HOW DARE YOU! You broke my nose." The woman screamed.
Normally I'd turn around and watch the fight. Today though, I kept my eyes on my drink and refused to turn around.
A hand was placed on my shoulder but I ignored it, already knowing who it was.
"Eliot." She said softly.
I ignored her.
"Eliot please. Just look at me." She pleaded.
"Excuse me miss, but I have to ask you to leave. You are not allowed to start a fight." A male, I'm assuming a bouncer, said.
"Eliot." Charlotte repeated.
"Miss you have to leave now." The bouncer said.
Charlotte sighed before walking away with the bouncer.
"I'll get seventeen more shots." I called to the bartender.

"I'll get.. uhh...tenth eighth more." I slurred.
"Man no. I'll call you a cab but I can't let you drink anymore. You'll kill yourself." The bartender said.
"I AM A PAYING CUSTOMER! If I say I want more shots, then you give me more shots." I yelled.
"No." He replied.
"Fine, then I'll find a better bar." I shrugged.
I stumbled out of the bar and walked a few blocks down the street. Another bar was located at the corner of the street and I quickly walked inside.
"What can I get ya?" The bartender asked.
"A ton of vodka shots." I replied, trying not to slur my words so I didn't seem drunk.
"Coming up." He said.
I downed the first few rounds of shots in a few minutes before being given more. I sighed in content as the ache in my head slowly started to subside. Everything seemed to slow down and for a moment, everything was peaceful.
I decided that I should head to a hotel and get some sleep. I payed for the shots before walking outside.
"Dum da de doo da doo." I sang randomly.
My eyesight was blurred, my senses were dulled and everything was still really slowed.
"Screw this." I said.
My body swayed back and forth and I was having a problem standing up straight. Everything was spinning while black dots clouded my vision.
Then everything was black and pain spread throughout my body at a rapid pace.
