Periods.

Lucas's POV
"Bye!" I grinned at Riley and Farkle, slowly they descended the stairs and left. I walked upstairs to my and Maya's room, zay was camping at smackle's as he had throughout first year and it's summer right now, we'll start our college's second year in a month and five days.
"Maya?" I said walking upstairs, the lights were switched off
I walked to our room, I inside was completely dark, I heard sniffing, sobs.
"Maya?" I whispered entering the room, my eyes adjusted to darkness, maya lay on the bed curled up in a ball her knees sticking to her chest as she sobbed. What? Why is she crying? Nothing bad happened!
"Maya?" I asked with more urgency, she looked up her eyes swollen and her cheeks puffy. That was so adorable.
"Why you crying?" I asked switching the light on, anger suddenly flashed her eyes
"GO! LEAVE ME ALONE FOR A WHILE! PLEASE." She said through clenched teeth
"Bu—" I started
"Just go." She said pushing her head between her knees.
That's when I remembered, I switched the light off and switched the fan on for cool air, I ran downstairs to the calendar . It was her date! Her periods! Oh damn.
I should've prepared for this.
"Fuck Lucas." I muttered, I walked back to our room, I opened the closet without disturbing maya, I changed my pants to jeans then ran back downstairs, I took my wallet stuffing it in my jeans.
I walked to the nearest grocery store. I took a lot of chocolate bars and two Nutella boxes, some sprite then I took ten chip packets, I took the XXL pads then I paid for all of it in the counter then walked back home, I flipped through the CDs. Finding dory was a movie we hadn't seen. I put it in the DVD player then turned down the lights and switched the AC on. I ripped the packet of pads open and took one out, then I walked upstairs.
"Maya? Listen please just change the pad." I said gently as I crouched in front of her, she looked up her eyes still puffy, she nodded slowly.
"Help." She muttered as she got off the bed, poor angel always has the worst of cramps.
I picked her in my arms, bridal style and walked to the washroom, she jumped to her feet and walked inside making me stand outside rubbing my fingers.
A minute later she opened the door handing me the used bloodly blotched pad. I scrunched my nose at the stink and gave her the new bigger and better pad.
I took the used one rapped it in a newspaper and threw it in the dustbin. Then I ran down stairs, the room was cool due to the AC, I washed my hands and opened the chips to pour them in a bigger bowl. I set everything to eat on the side table, put some cushions on the couch and only when I was straightening the Nutella fries maya called my name.
I dashed upstairs.
"Cramp." She mumbled as she stepped out of the bathroom.
"Oh no." I muttered taking her hand as she clutched her stomach, I picked her up again bridal style.
"Want some cool, and chocolates and chips and a movie maybe?" I said smiling. Her adorable grin returned her face and she nodded, she put her head against my chest and that was all she could do to make my heart go- fbsjebdjdnudhxkaidhskaisj.
I walked down the stairs and sat on the cushion, her back on me, I handed her the Nutella bottle with a spoon and then we ate and watched the entire movie, only during the climax maya fell asleep on my chest and mumbled a 'thanks' to which I replied,"it's my periods, why you thanking me?"
Trust me that night and every expression of Maya's from that night. I can remember it all clearly after all it was my first periods with maya.

If you do this for yer girlfriends guys, then trust me they could not be more grateful to have you, seriously the pain during periods sometimes gets unbearable and it's so hard to control the cramps and mood swings that really you should be happy we didn't murder you.
