This will probably suck, but I wanted to write a story about all this mystical stuff. I usually lack creativity, so comment and tell me if this sucks and I should give up. I try to update often, but I will usually miss a couple next week. Hopefully everyone likes this story. Remember to comment.

Kondu sat on the dead tree, splinters digging into his long, muscular legs. His feet scraped the moist ground, his toes digging into the dirt. Five days had passed since he found his mother murdered in cold blood in his home. Four days had passed since his dad hung himself. 3 days had passed since he moved into the orphanage.
Kondu stared at the dirt. He was too depressed to move and get to the school. Today they chose what they wanted to become. Kondu already decided to be a magic- user. He could already do simple spells, like a mini fireball and summon animals and monsters. Small monsters though.
"Come on, Kondu, you're going to be late."
Gertrude, the orphanage director walked towards him and sat down.
"I know it's hard losing your parents. Mine disappeared without notice. One day they were here and the next, they weren't."
Her usually hard expressions were full of emotion. Her bright silver eyes were shining with tears.
"What I'm trying to say is that just because you lose something really important to you, keep going. Don't stop. Continue your life."
She grabbed Kondu's wrist and led him towards the school. All elves of sixteen were rushing about, finding there teacher and getting in line in front of them. Kondu found the line leading to Hesner Drottinduige. Hesner was a tall woman with silver hair and dark green eyes.
Fedad, Kondu's only friend, walked up behind him.
"What class are you picking?" Fedad asked, his eyes full of excitement. He was dirty as if he had crawled out of the ground. His pale blonde hair was matted with mud. Dirt covered his clothes and face.
"I already told you: magic- user. And you said you were too, so maybe we could be a team. Whenever you clean yourself. Where were you?"
"Oh," he was looking around like he would get hurt if he said something. "I was doing nothing."
"I don't think a mud bath is nothing."
"I was doing something. . . something for. . . my mom," he said faking a smile. He was up to something.
Before Kondu could say anything else, King Juet Seder yelled out," Welcome to the choosing. Today our youth will choose which path to overcome. The first choice is either an adventurer, or staff. Then from there, our youth will either choose a class, or a job. Now let's get the choosing started."
He exited off the stage, his black hair shining behind him.
Hesner started calling out names, as did other teachers. After ten people Kondu heard his name. Hesner have him a twig with his name carved on it. He walked over to the adventurer bowl and placed his twig in.
Fedad was next in line. He walked over and placed his twig on the adventurer bowl.
After everyone had placed the twigs in a bowl, Hesner grabbed all of the small twigs out and handed them back to each person.
"As King Seder said, the adventurers will go first."
The line moved and before Kondu knew it he was at the bowls. He confidently placed his twig in the magic- user bowl. Kondu stood alone because no one else had chose magic- user.
Fedad was next though. He walked over to the magic- user bowl, turned to look at Kondu, then took a step to the fighter bowl and placed it in.
After Fedad the staff went. The whole time Kondu was wondering why Fedad hadn't picked magic- user. They had been planning this for three years.
After the ceremony, Kondu hid in a tree, determined to find out why Fedad chose fighter. Fedad also stayed behind until no one was there. As soon as no one was looking, Fedad ran off, straight into the woods.
Kondu jumped out of the tree and ran after him. It was easy to keep track of him, because of his silver hair.
After five minutes, Fedad stopped. Kondu climbed the tree behind him, trying to stop breathing so hard. Fedad started digging in the ground. After a while, he pulled out a bag.
Kondu looked a little closer as he pulled out the contents. A blood- stained knife and a stool. It took him a moment but Kondu realized something.
Fedad killed his parents.
Kondu jumped down in front of Fedad.
"You killed them, didn't you?"
"They wouldn't let you-"
"I don't care what they said, you killed my parents!"
"I did it for you!"
"You killed my parents for me ?! I don't care what they think, I would've chosen magic- user anyway!"
"You said you wanted them to change their mind, I did it for you."
"I wanted them to change their mind on me becoming a magic- user, not changing their mind to not working!"
Kondu was getting so angry, he didn't notice his hands and eyes were blazing with fire.
"Calm down man," Fedad said.
"I will not calm down, you killed my parents!"
With that Kondu's whole body erupted into flame. He raised his hand at Fedad.
"And now you will die."
The last look on Fedad's face looked like relief.
