Lord have mercy on Ian Somerhalder. I think I found my Hugo!!

----

Hugo had caught me crying this morning, I didn’t know my door had been ajar and Hugo could see me through the gap. It wasn't until I heard soft steps that I turned around. He wanted to ask me what was wrong but I quickly stood up, slamming the door in his face. Ouch.I just wanted to be left alone. When I finally had the guts to stop feeling pity for myself and went to sit in the shade as he had papa worked, he didn't give me a pity look or one of those tight lip smile. He simply nodded and continued what he was doing.

"I have this burger meal deal at Lulu's cafe in town and it says for two. So wanna come?" He didn't give me a chance to decline. "You look like a girl who appreciates good hearty food. Come on. If you don't like it I wouldn't hold it against you even if it was against the law to not like Lulu’s Burgers they are the best in the whole town." I smiled pulling myself up. He quickly put on his shirt that was lying next to me and whispered to papa he would be back.

Hugo didn't bother trying to make small talk during the ride; he was a gentleman like that. He knew the place and time to talk, he was good at reading body language, but once in a while I felt his eyes on me. We finally pulled up to a caravan style cafe with huge windows and Lulu's written in big, black, bold letters.

My eyes roamed the unfamiliar place liking the look of it until I spotted them-Amery and her friends in the corner.

I sighed in defeat and stayed glued in the passenger seat even as Hugo got out. He noticed I wasn’t moving and came round the other side to open the door.

"What's wrong?" He asked resting his arm on the dashboard while looking at me, I avoided his gaze. He was an eye sore to the female species.

"Nothing. I just don’t think we should enter at the same time." He looked at me like I grew two heads. I had my reasons. Hugo was gorgeous; he was everything I was not. I didn’t want to see that look of 'your ugly, he is not what is doing with you. I mean he is too good for you.' I saw that look too many times when I had been with him.

"Come on don't bail out on me now." He gave a toothy smile, reaching over to unbuckle my seat belt. He then proceeded- taking me by surprise that is- to lift him out of his car. My face was burning from his touch and I couldn't help the little smile that danced on my face once he set on the floor. We walked side by side into the diner and I couldn't help look over at them but Hugo didn't pay them no mind instead he gave them a once time glance and pulled me to the other side of the room. Lulu wasn't busy at this present moment, so I was able to enjoy the R&B music drifting in the background. Subconsciously I swayed my body to it.

"Hello Hugo. Oh my, is this Billie's granddaughter?" The middle aged woman placed both hands over her chest. She was slightly pear shaped with round glasses and fantastic set of teeth.

"Get up and give me a hug." I looked Hugo for confirmation and he smiled giving me the ok. It seems everywhere I went everyone knew who I was like some sort of celebrity due to my grandmamma. She was like the Oprah Winfrey of Middletown. The woman touched my face, giggling.

"She looks like a young Billie. You are so beautiful. I see why Hugo took a liking to you. He has a thang for pretty girls.” She laughed and I sneaked a peek at Hugo, if I wasn’t mistaken he blushed a little.

“Pardon my rudeness; I’m Lulu the owner of this humble abode.” Everyone in this town was so cheery it was highly contagious. I found myself smiling back as she addressed Hugo again. “The usual?” she asked.
