Luke moved the latch off the door knowingly, almost as if he's been here countless times and knows exactly what he's doing, when he attempts to push the large wooden door open, to no avail.

Turning in his stance in front of the door, he looks to me with a shy smile before pointing to the door and stepping away as a giggle escaped his lips, causing me to smile brightly at him as I'm attempting to push open the door.

Once I finally got the door open, I push it in with my hand, awaiting for Luke to walk Inside before I myself walked in, completely shutting the door behind me.

I couldn't help when I stuck my head out into the hallway, checking if anyone one was around before closing the door behind me and latching the lock to make sure no one entered. Although, I highly doubted anyone would even try.

Walking further into the room in search of Luke, I realize the room's an old library. Broken, worn-out bookshelves are scattered all over the place along with old torn and bent books, and a couple of tables and chairs with outdated sign-in sheets.

Looking around, I wondered why they didn't use this place anymore. I wondered why they decided to leave it off the end of the 2nd floor hallway, untouched, but I didn't dwell on it too much when my eyes got sight of Luke lifting open a window and placing two chairs directly in front of it facing each other.

He looked pestered, annoyed with the way the chairs weren't aligning properly and I couldn't help but laugh at his antics to get the two facing each other perfectly.

Soon, after he caught on to my laughing and his face grew emotionless, he sat in one of the two chairs, taking out his bagged lunch and placed it on the windowsill, crossing his hands in his lap, a habit he's always done from what I've picked up on. Whenever I'd look at him, especially during lunch, his arms would be crossed or folded into the other and I'm not really sure if there's a true purpose for it.

Walking to the chair next to him nervously, I sit down and look at him, his soft expression meeting mine. He didn't look dull or emotionless this time, but like a child. He looked like a child staring up at something spectacular in awe, with the gloss in his eyes and his lips slightly spread apart.

He said no words, and I didn't think he would. Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping, but I wasn't expecting him to.

I'd do anything to actually hear him talk again, even if it's just a small sentence. Who am I kidding? I'd honestly probably want to hear him talk even if he was yelling at me, full on angry, full of curse words and threats. His voice was so angelic it could even make that sound appealing surprisingly.

Luke shuffled in his chair some more before my stomach growled, startling the both of us. I couldn't help but smile at the fond smile Luke was giving me from our slight disruption from my stomach. Soon enough, I saw him sliding me his brown paper bag of lunch down the windowsill to me.

Shaking my head no, I decided to speak, clearing my throat in the process. "Why don't you eat lunch?" I ask, opening up the brown paper bag to reveal a sandwich of some sort, along with a bag of chips.

Luke looked at me, afraid for a split second before our eyes met. Then, he immediately looked down, holding his stomach and shaking his head no.

"Everyone on this earth has to eat. It's essential, Luke, and if you don't, you can get really sick," I tell him, holding the sandwich up to him.

Still, Luke shook his head no, not meeting my pleading expression for him to eat, even if it would just a little bit.

"Why don't you eat?" I asked, more general instead of singling out lunch. For all I know, he could not be eating at all. Luke was dangerously skinny and almost an unhealthy pale, and the thought made me think what his family thought of his actions or if they even cared of his actions.
