Demi's POV

"We're suing him!" I hollered as soon as those words left Kelsey's mouth. "Kesley you know I'm not in the right state of mind to handle court" I huffed. My life was not supposed to turn out this way. I thought my career would go so smoothly for the rest of my life. I would've never thought that I would be suing my manager, former manager.

"He threatened me first" Kelsey admitted loudly. "And plus, I think we could actually win this. Phil has done a lot of things that goes against the laws of the industry, and the law period. He did send a person to stalk you. We have the messages to prove it. If we could get everyone involved on track, we could win this" she explained.

I stopped and thought a second. Phil really did do a lot of illegal things. I could've ended this a long time ago but fear took over. I was never one to stand up for myself, so I guess I kind of just dealt with it for the past few years or so.

"You might be right" I finally admitted. "We could win this thing. I just need to make a couple of phone calls, and then we're taking this to court." Kelsey clapped loudly when she realized I was on board. Nick sat silently on the couch with a trace of a frown on his face. His face was glued to the floor and I could tell he was listening in. "What do you think Nick?" He jumped hard and looked up.

"I need to go. I'll see you guys later. I think" he said. He was all over the place. His words weren't coming out sturdy. Kelsey and I watched as he stumbled out the door. He was mumbling something just before the door closed.

"I guess it's just me and you ". I smiled and leaned in to hug Kelsey. "I love you boss" she said and I wrapped my arms around her. "We're in this together, I'm never leaving you" she said gently.

She pulled away from my embrace and cupped my face in her hands. She looked me directly in the eyes. "You got this. I'm here. You're to badass to let this affect you." I smiled and took her hands away from my face. "Thank you. I have to call up a couple of lawyers though. I'll talk to you in about an hour." She nodded and I headed to my office with my laptop and phone.

I felt uneasy sitting there. I still feel like Luke is watching me from somewhere. I finally decided to close the windows in the room.

____________

"I hear by now announce that Phil McIntyre and Luke Rockhold guilty." A bang echoed across the room as the judge hit her mallot into the stand. I let a sigh I didn't know I was holding when those words escaped her lips. I glared at my papers in disbelief that I won. Disbelief that after a year and a half of dealing with this trial. It was finally over. I was finally free.
"It's all over Demi, it's done Demi" I heard Maddie say from behind me.

This is a really short chapter because I'm not really sure where to go with this story anymore so I might discontinue it but I don't know yet. This story has become a weird real reality in some ways and honestly it's scary. I think I might end it and start a continued book. Give me suggestions please!
