Silence

Darkness

"Where am I ?" The poor boy muttered to himself.

In the pitch-black darkness, the figure kept walking. He didn't know where he is going nor did he know how he got here. His mind was blank just like his surrounding.

He kept walking and walking until he saw a glint of light.

He walked to the light having no idea what it was but it was the only thing that caught his attention.

He was almost there when suddenly a loud voice echoed inside his head.

"Ivan !"

He grabbed his head as it became painful. His surrounding was turning hazy and everything was spinning. He fell to the ground, panting for breath as the excruciating pain took hold of him. His lungs were burning by a roaring fire, clawing its way up to his trachea into his nasal cavity.

An excruciating scream echoed throughout the darkness, filling out the empty spaces with the death melody. With every note bringing painful memories, opening cuts and wounds from a torturous past.

In a split second, the pain abruptly went away. It was now replaced with a heavy feeling. Everything felt heavy. Even his eyelids felt like it weights a ton. Not to mention his body felt as if a leaden elephant was put on top of it.

He tried to open his eyelids but it felt as if it was glued shut with superglue.

Suddenly a voice was heard as it encourages him to open his tired eyes.

"Come on, open your eyes baby you can do it!"

He tried even harder this time and luck were on his side as he succeeded on the second attempt. Much to his dismay, he opened his eyes and he was greeted with a blinding light that painfully pierced his eyes. His body reacted by instantly closing both of his eyes, preventing the light from doing any more damage.

"Ouch" was all he can utter as he rubbed his eyes to make the pain go away.

"Y-you're awake" a voice suddenly spoke, the voice sounds as if the person was in utter shock.

Ivan was stunned to hear how soothing the voice sound like.

Where was he?

Why was he longing to hear that voice so much?

He cursed out loud as a throbbing pain suddenly came into his brain as he tried to remember everything.

"Shhh, don't think too much just relax. It will be okay I'm here" the voice spoke so softly reassuring him that he was in a good hand.

Ivan thought that his mind was playing a trick on him. Could it be true? He swore by all the god above that the voice sounded so familiar but he couldn't put his finger on it.
