Why be wary of the night?
A soft gentle silence
Telling all its time to sleep
Time to heal old wounds
Gentle old scars.
There is no light to shine upon differences and secrets
All are safe in the dark.
Quiet time to think
Time to walk
The streets
Alone.
Or not if one wishes for company
While some sleep
Some awaken
Do not fear the dark
Unless you fear what you do not know
Be safe my child
When you head out
All intentions can come to shadow
Or chance encounters may whisk you away
This is not the fault of Night
Simply that of those who lie within her
Same as day
For day can hide evils as easily as night.
Do be safe my child
But do not fear the night
Let her conceal you from the dangers
And take you away from horrors still hidden
And be soft with the mysteries of the time.
