Chapter 1: Assignments

"Wake up sunshine!" my roommate calls, throwing a pillow to my face. I sit up with a groan and look for the culprit.

There she sits, on the end of my bed. She has this look of innocence, as if she didn't just throw a pillow at me. "Come on, we got class." she chirps excitedly, skipping off to the bathroom. I just had to get paired with a morning person?

"Let me sleep Analyn." I groan, stuffing my head under the pillow she had thrown at me.

"Get your ass up!" she yells in filipino. I've heard that phrase too many times to not know what it means. I groggily get out of bed, almost collapsing on the floor.

After getting ready, I make my way to class. Being early enough, I find a seat against the wall.

"Okay class, I have your assignments for the week." the professor announces, grabbing our attention. The project I have been waiting for! Finally.

I go to the front and receive my folder from the professor. I can only hope it's where my friend works. She was so excited to hear I have a chance to see her.

I open the folder to find where I am assigned. I am let down to discover it is not the studio I preferred. But this could be better. Big Hit dance studios. That name sounds familiar, where have I heard it before?

I hear screams of excitement and immediately turn to see what is going on. Girls are suffocating others, peering at another person's assignment. What the hell? I hope they're Okay, I am not getting into that.

"I will email you directions. I hope you enjoy your projects." the professor dismisses us. I walk out peering intensely at my folder. Do they want me to reach dance? I look further in and notice instructions for a camera. Photographer? I would have never thought.
