Disclaimer: I don't own any character in this story unless they are unfamiliar to the movie Newsies.

From me: This starts in the middle of the strike and will be in mostly Spot's point of view.

I wake up in cell with a lot of people in it. The riot happened yesterday and a lot of newsies got arrested, including me. I look around and notice most of the newsies are from Manhattan. I don't think I see any other Brooklyn Newsies. Race quickly fills me in on what has happened. A guard comes and brings us to the court room.

"Do you all have a council?" the judge asks. I look around and see everyone looking at each other confused. "No? Good good. That'll move things on quicker."

I look over and see two boys come in. One is is taller and the other one is shorter, even shorter then me. The taller one, which is probably the older one, looks more stockier and the younger one is looks very thin. They both have brown hair but the younger one hair looks more gold and the older one has more red hair.

"Your honor, I object," I say. This guy is just trying to get this over with and not caring what happens to us.

"On what grounds?" he asks.

"On the grounds of Brooklyn, your honor," I say.

Everyone is laughing and pushing each other around. I look over and see the little guy even smiling as he looks anywhere but at us. The older guy is rolling is eyes.

"I fine you all of you with $5," he says. What?!? No one has got $5 we don't even have 5 cents! "Or two weeks confinement in the house of refuge."

Bryan Denton comes in and says, "I'll pay for them, all of them."

That's when Jack comes in. Hand cuffed. I didn't really pay attention to him. He'll figure it out himself. I kept looking at the brothers. Something was off about them
