I was on a family vacation, sorry my loves <3 Would you guys like the playlist I listen to when I write these chapters? I can post the title/link on my next chapter if anyone would like it. Now on with the show!

Daniel's POV

There was a sharp pain in my neck, reflective of the one Holly felt, and a small reminder of the bond we shared. Once I would've relished in that bond, I would die to be beside my mate, no matter what.

But I had Marci now. She's all I needed, and I would ever need.

I left the plain infirmary room and ascended the stairs to my bedroom where I left Marci last. Holly could wait.

She was sitting on her reading chair when I got to our room, a classic book in her hands. I wasn't sure which of the tattered novels she was devouring this time, but it was something sure enough to bore me to death.

Marci glanced up from her book and smiled at me, "Everything okay, baby? Did you tell her about us taking the twins?" Her brown hair was up in a loose bun, secured by pencils, I loved it like that.

"She was rather adamant about not being separated from them. If she doesn't give in soon, I'll have to separate them forcefully. She can stay in the rogue cellar for all I care." I gruffed and approached her, leaning in for a kiss.

She turned her cheek and I was met with it instead of her lips. "Sweetie, if she's not going to comply, we'll need to get rid of her. Not just stow her away." Marci stood up and shelved the novel in its proper spot.

I growled a little, I hated the idea of getting rid of Holly permanently. "You know how I feel about that."

A switch flipped in Marci's head and she turned to face me, looking innocent as ever. "I'm sorry, my love. I know you hate that kind of talk." She kissed my cheek, "Maybe I can gain her trust and make the adjustment easier."

Something deep within me stirred at the thought of letting her near my children or my mate, but I pushed it down. "That doesn't sound too bad."

Satisfied with my response, Marci smiled and proceeded to tell me about her day and all the plans she was making for our wedding in a few months. I loved the sound of her voice, it was so soothing and peaceful. Like a lullaby...

I know its short, but I'm uploading another chapter soon after, probably still tonight. Marci's POV ;)

Love you all <3
