I'm an awful writer i know i know, i'm so sorry here's the old update

I promised I'd update, so here we are! ALSO 400 READS?!?!?! I love you all sooo much

Daniel's POV

Seeing Holly again felt like my heart was being electrocuted. Her red hair was everywhere, flying in the light breeze. But seeing the hurt in her eyes when I kissed Marci, that was the worst pain I've felt.

We were upstairs when I felt strong Alpha energy pull over my wolf, Marci must've felt it too because she instantly bared her neck in submission. She was one of the lower wolves in a neighboring pack had had virtually no dominance over anything. Not ideal but the pack liked her and that was good enough for me.

"Daniel, what is that?" Marci twitched and released her neck. Behind her brown eyes, there was a twinge of fear, unlike anything I'd seen from a wolf. She wasn't only afraid, she was completely dominated by the power.

I kissed the top of her head and took off my shirt for fear of ripping it when I shifted. "I don't know." Running down the stairs and into the living area I saw her.

A large red wolf was barring her teeth at James, no mercy behind the action.

James glanced over at me, "Daniel-" Before he could finish his statement the wolf lunged at him.

It took me a moment to realize that the wolf was Holly. Her red hair transferred over to the wolf but her gorgeous green eyes were replaced with ravenous yellow. There was no Holly left, only wolf. I wondered how long it had been since she'd shifted into her wolf. I doubt the kids knew she was this way, so maybe it had been several years. A Were with no Wolf is like a human with no soul.

Deep snarls came from Holly as she lunged and she knocked over countless things in the room chasing after, the now running, James. He bolted for the door and she was quick to follow.

James shifted into his grey/silver wolf and started fighting back. His actions were precise, showing his years of training and self-discipline. On the other hand, Holly was aggressive and quick from just the primal instincts she held within her wolf. James made sure he wasn't hurting Holly with his small nips. She was going for the kill.

A chunk of James's back left was ripped by Holly's deadly teeth and strength. I knew she wasn't going to stop till I intervened.

"Holly, stop!" I bellowed in my best Alpha tone, but she still didn't listen. Her defiance was astounding and clearly not from an omega like her.

I shifted just as James howled with pain and jumped away from the vicious She-Wolf.  My wolf charged at her, slamming into her light body. It was enough to pin her underneath me until she eventually gave in.

Moments passed in what felt like an eternity before she bared her neck and suddenly shifted.

Her eyes rolled back into her head and the wolf faded away into red dust around her. When the girl underneath finally was visible she was bruised and scared. I could see bone underneath some of the gashes even though James didn't bite nearly hard enough to cause real damage like that. Every bone protruded through her translucent skin.

I linked to Lorel, You need to call a medic.  Holly is seriously hurt. I don't think she's shifted in years.

Lorel was quick to call the med who promptly led me to carry Holly's fragile body into the living area.

Doctor Louise began to examine her with gentle hands. "Alpha, she's weak. Every bone broke when she shifted and they snapped through the skin. I don't know if she can heal fast enough without being awake."

I knew what she was asking me to do. I needed to Mate call her and wake her up. It took everything out of me to bring up our bond, it felt old and tense. Like any moment or disruption would set it off on high again. I couldn't risk her going into heat while needing to heal. Her body would shut down completely and her wolf could take over... again.

"Let me know when she wakes up. I'll be in my office," I put on my Alpha face and waved off the medic. Lorel darted downstairs with the already healed, James.

She looked horrified, "Daniel, what happened to her? Why is she like that." Lorel rested her hand on her belly and leaned into James.

His face was slightly bruised but the leg was fine. "Will she be okay?" I knew my Beta and I always knew he'd be more concerned about others as opposed to himself.

I nodded and turned around them both. The last thing I needed was to gain feelings for Holly. I simply needed her there so I could be crowned official Alpha. I needed her hear to sign the pack policy. It basically claimed that the children would live with me and she could live somewhere on the land by me.

Her signature was the only reason I called her here. That and my kids. They needed to be raised by their father and Alpha.

Holly may not like this, but she doesn't have a choice.

OKAY so I finally updated and I'm sorrrrry! I will be working on another chapter tonight but no promises. Love you all and thank you for being patient with me.
