Enya's pov

There are whispers and legends that fly around about Eliorans. Some say they were immortal. Some say they could travel anywhere in the nine realms. And some say they were superior to any and every other creature. While some of these whispers were true...

Some were wrong.

Eliora was a peaceful planet. Just like any other realm, this one had enemies. Orcs. Others called them Goblins. They had no special powers, but were immune to ordinary magic and ordinary weapons.

   Eliorans were born with 2 things. The first is a tattoo-like birthmark which would represent not only their power, but them as well, yet it would become so much more than just a mark once our powers fully developed. It would become their personal emblem, making their powers stronger in the process.

    Mine is a sun located on the back of my left shoulder blade. The middle is red and as it spreads out it changes from orange to yellow. (Pic).

     The second thing Eliorans are born with are powers, obviously. When they were fully developed the elders would announce it. They would celebrate with family and friends the entire night. Except me. Mine were developed by 16 when the average age was 22-25 years. People found me odd. I was an outcast in my own home. Except my mother and 2 siblings. She told me that there is nothing wrong with me and that I should be proud of what I am and who I am.

My father used to say the same. Until my mother died. He was disgusted with me and never treated me the same.

My siblings went through something similar. Like me their powers fully developed early, but at 18. People found all 3 of us odd. At first we were torn up about it. Then something happened that made us see that having each other is better than anything: the death our mother. It devastated all of us.

   18 years later after her death Eliora was attacked by Orcs. Killing two-third of the population. Scattering the rest across the nine realms. My siblings and I evacuated Eliora like a handful of others.

This is how it happened.

~~~~~~
   Hurling the sword, it deepened into the Orc's temple, killing him instantly. I ran to the frightened boy. "Are you okay?" The little boy slowly nodded. Then his baby blue eyes went wide at something behind me.
"Look out!" Spinning on my heel, I grab an Orcs weapon. Throwing it to the side I kick him in the groin and retract my sword. Stabbing him right in the neck I watch him fall to the ground lifeless.
Looking around everyone is running, screaming or fighting Orcs. They caught us by completely by surprise. There are hundreds of Orcs. Hearing a scream I turn and grab the boy just as an Orc swung his axe. Tucking the boy behind me I look at the Orc dead in the eye. There's a lengthy pause before he spoke.
"You are either brave or foolish."
"O, really?" I conjure up a weapon using fire and a sword appears in my hand. I'm about to make my move when an arrow flies straight in his eye. He cries in pain as another was fired in his other eye. I then smirk knowing who it is.
"Nice shot." I mentally speak to my sister, Andra. "Thanks Enya. Get the boy to safety. He's terrified." She replies. Looking down at the boy she was right. The boy was sobbing. Reading his thoughts all I can hear is him wanting his mother.
Draping my dark brown cloak over his shoulders I pick him up. "No harm will come to you. I swear it." I softly say in his ear. Gently picking the boy up, I run through the crowd of people till I find his mother. Giving him to her I finally join the fight.
Taking my sword I leap and land on an Orcs back. Driving the blade through it's spine, it cries in pain. I twist the sword to finish it. Looking forward I throw another blade at an incoming Orc, but he dodges it. I groan in annoyance. These guys don't quit. Jumping off the Orc's back, I dash towards him and slide in between his legs. The beast bent down in an attempt to grab me, but ended up falling forward and face planting.
