Jacob's POV-
Once I got into my room I closed my door and pulled my phone out to call Anthony. I tapped on his contact and waited for him to pick up. He and I haven't gone on a date in months, so I planned to tell him that we should go on a date soon.
"Hello?" Anthony's voice barely audible through the phone.
"Babe! I was thinking that we should go on a date this weekend since it has been a while since we have gone on a date." I said enthusiastically.
"This weekend?" Anthony mumbled.
"Yeah. You aren't doing anything this weekend, right? We can have this date night start with dinner and then it can end with us back at my place, I can ask Ryan if he could stay at one of his co-worker's for the night. What do you think?"
"That sounds like a lot of fun, but I don't want to this weekend." Anthony said.
I paused, my spirits were at an all time high from excitement for this date night and he just killed it. He killed my spirit with just seven words, I don't want to this weekend. Those words were daggers to my ears, I dreaded that he would say them and he did. "What? I thought you had free time this weekend?" I asked him.
"I do, but this weekend doesn't sound good for a date night." Anthony muttered.
"Seriously Anthony? You have said this every weekend for the past two months. When are we going to do something again?"I whined
"What do you mean? We get to do things regularly, I get to see you many times during the week." Anthony explained.
"I know we get to see each other during the week, but that is after you get off work and since I have a job again we won't see each other as often as we did before." I responded slightly annoyed. "It has been two months since we have done something special Anthony, it has been even longer since we we done anything. I just wanted to do something small this weekend since I knew you and I didn't have anything going on then."
"I said I don't want to this weekend! I'm done talking about this!" Anthony suddenly shouted, ending the call abruptly.
I tossed my phone down on my bed angrily and swear. Seriously? He couldn't have done just one night? This honestly makes me want to break it off with him, be done with all his crap. Anthony and I have been together for about a year and a couple months now and there were times when I get a little annoyed at the things he does, but never to the point where I want to break up with him. I'll just ask Ryan his opinion on this in the morning, and what he thinks I should do. Though, I can already guess what he'll say. Ryan doesn't much like Anthony. He thinks he's a pompous, self-centered jerk who would rather spend time at the gym than with me. Though, his confidence is kind of what made me fall for him in the first place.
Picking up my phone, I set my alarm for work tomorrow and place it on the bedside cabinet. After I set my phone down on the nightstand I changed into my pj's and crawled under the covers of my bed. Sleep almost instantly taking me until morning once I laid my head onto my pillow.
"Hey Jacob! Stop snoozing your alarm and get the bloody hell up!" Ryan said shaking me awake.
"My alarm hasn't even gone off yet." I whined. "Someone's calling me, that's my ringtone" I explain, yawning.
"Well answer it then. It has been going off for the past twenty minutes. I can only ignore it for so long." Ryan complained.
Pulling the covers off and sitting upright, I grabbed the phone to see who was calling me. Anthony. Still annoyed at him from last night, I groaned and declined the call. The things he said last night seriously pissed me off. I figured that this would blow over until morning, but I am still upset about it.
