SkyDoesMe

Ryan's POV-

Beep, beep, beep

My phone chimes loudly, the extremely obnoxious sound of my chirping alarm waking me slowly. My eyes dart open and I slowly sit up, turning towards my phone with a rush of anger filling me. A quick karate chop later and my phone lays on the floor, speaker down while the alarm still sounds.

Forcing myself up and out of bed, I pick up my phone and switch off the alarm, putting it down on the bedside cabinet. This is bound to be one of THOSE mornings. I head off to the shower and spy Jacob's room's door is already open ajar; he's already left for work. Breathing loudly I step into the bathroom and jump in the shower, scrubbing my blond hair thoroughly with shampoo and conditioner. The water burns down upon me and turns my pale skin a light shade of red before I hop out and dry off with a fresher outlook on the day. Maybe it won't be one of THOSE days after all?

As soon as I leave the bathroom my phone chimes and I ignore it for now, grabbing some clothes from my wardrobe and picking up my glasses, inspecting them for any overnight dirt and dust. Carefully I clean them with my chosen shirt: a black button-up with white hibiscus flowers spread across it. Underneath I decide to wear a plain white t-shirt. Grabbing some clean underwear and jeans I tug them on and yawn, a spasm of stretches making me fall and lay on the bed. That was nice. Feeling more relaxed I slip on my socks and grab my phone.

The sender read "Adam" and it took me a few seconds to recall who Adam was: Jacob's boss who I randomly met yesterday. A smile spreads over my face and I read his text.

(Adam- Jacob just got into work, what a small world it is.)

I chuckle and choose my reply quickly, realising I will have to leave for work myself soon.

(Ryan- It is a small world indeed. I'll talk later, heading into work now. Seeya, Adam AKA my friend's boss!) I type and chuckle at my abrupt ending to our conversation. It's what I do when I'm busy.

Work goes by slowly and the heat in the office is increasingly ruining my mood. I sit at my desk, waiting for my pictures to finish printing before handing them to my boss for confirmation. For once, she seems to be in a good mood and I am grateful that she asks me to go take pictures of our building for our website. Grabbing my camera, phone and photobook I head outside before my phone buzzes in my pocket. Choosing an area some distance from the building I set up my camera and quickly check my phone. A text from Adam.

(Adam- I spoke to Jacob today. He seems like a cool guy though he was focussed on his work quite a bit so I have hardly seen him since.) The text said.

Thumbing the reply button I quickly type out my message:

(Ryan- He really enjoys working and is somewhat a perfectionist. I actually forgot to tell him I met you yesterday tbh.) My reply reads. Quickly I get back to work before Adam replies with oh, okay and a string of emojis. I quickly decide to message Jacob.

(Ryan- So I forgot to tell you yesterday, but I ran into someone you know yesterday. Hey btw)

(Jacob- Am I supposed to magically know who the hell you bumped into yesterday? Could you give me a hint?) I give him a hint. We text back and forth a bit before I finally tell Jacob that I met his boss yesterday. He seems a bit suprised as his reply has both an exclamation and a question mark.

(Ryan- That's the one. Tall, has a beard and glasses, well built. Quite hot. Need I go on?) I type, picturing our meeting from the day prior. He was quite the looker to be fair.
