Olives pov.
When I wake up, I hear loud breathing. I turn my head and see Cindy, sitting in the chair next to me. Her eyes are wide and shes staring at me intently.
"Ahh! What the hell are you doing?!" I yell. She jumps and ducks her head like a guilty dog.
"Checking your blood pressure! Umm.. yeah." she says, a guilty look on her face.
"Well, that was the creepiest way I've ever seen!" I yell. I know she likes me and all but.. watching me sleep!? Thats the last straw! How long has she been watching!?
"Cindy? I'll take it from here." Dr. Woolly says, eyeing her. He almost forces her from the room and straightens his white jacket.
"Well." he says, swiping whats left of his hair to the side. "Olive."
"Is their something she cant know or something?" I ask, grinning from watching him force Cindy out of the door.
"You want her in here?" he asks, grinning and grabbing the door handle.
"No! I mean, umm no?" I say quickly, putting out my hands.
He laughs and says, "No, its not something secret. Its just that Cindy would be devastated to know it." He grins at me and Im struck with horror.
"Im going to DIE?!" I ask, rather loudly. He laughs, and says,
"No! Well, not as far as I can tell. The thing is, your going home." Of course Cindy would be devastated! How could she watch me at night?
"Home?!" I ask, hoping Im not dreaming. Im going home? Am I cured! How could I be cured?
"Yes. The charity work has made it possible to get stronger medicines for you. We will be able to prescribe you with a very powerful medicine that could potentially wipe out the disease completely. We will still be giving you the pills we gave you here, because they'll take on the stuff that hasnt bonded to any nerve tissue. All we're doing here is giving you antitoxins and other drugs to control it. We will prescribe you pills and you can just go home." he says.
"Thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I laugh, feeling silly about earlier.
"Now, now. Im not saying you cured, it will take some therapy-" he starts to say.
"Therapy?!" I ask, suddenly serious. I have to go back to work! I've been out on a huge "vacation"!
"Yes, when you came to us, you were having huge muscle spasms and we had to give you strong sedatives. They've reduced the muscles in your body by a lot and you'll have to go to therapy to restore them." he says. Oh no.. Thats explains why I couldnt walk earlier though.
"Couldnt I strengthen them myself? Please?! Im the one who got them that way! Please!" I beg. I went there once, after a muscle tear and it was horrible. They telling me to go out and buy expensive things to use at home. Well Im sorry! Im not rich! And they're too nice!
"Im not sure you know what your doing.." he says, basically saying no. I sigh and say,
"I've torn muscles before and I've come back fine. And I never went to a physical therapist. Please, I really dont like it there..."
"Hmm.. I've shorten your time there but I want you to go there for at least... a week." I pout but dont argue.
"When can I leave?" I ask, wanting to talk to my friends without some psycho woman glaring at them.
"Now. We'll send your prescriptions to the pharmacy you have on file." he grins and leaves. Now?! Yes! Im going home. The place I thought I'd never see again.
