Y/N

They never wanted you. You knew that. So why did it hurt so much when they actually told you this to your face? When your crackhead parents told you they didn't want to deal with you this summer and sent you to a camp far away from home it hurt. It hurt like hell and you couldn't help but start to cry when you sat down on that smelly old bus. You were the only one on and the guy driving it looked like a serial killer.

A while after you got on, the bus stopped to pick up someone else. You watched as a tall boy with curly brown hair and big blue eyes got on, other than the fact he was dressed as if he was from the 90's, you couldn't help but find him extremely cute. You watched as he walked up the stairs with a book in his hands all the way to the back where you were sitting. He sat down next to you and continued to read as if you weren't there. Maybe he didn't notice you?

You cleared your throat and he looked straight at you, He must have been a little sleepy because it took him a while to notice what was wrong. When he did his eyes grew big and he opened his mouth to speak in a panic with his cheeks turning red.

"S-sorry I..I didn't realize that there'd be someone sitting here." He got up and moved to the seat in front of you and didn't look back.

You opened your mouth to say something but nothing came out, you slapped yourself for not being able to try and make friends. Maybe being this was too awkward for him that he didn't want to be your friend, so you sat back in your seat and sighed. If only you had your phone then you could blast some music and drift off into another world. You turned and leaned your forehead against the window and sighed.

"H-hey my names Neil by the way"

You turned your head and shifted your eyes over to the boy sitting in front of you. He smiled and your body immediately turned to face him. "I'm y/n" You couldn't help but smile, so you looked away from him so he couldn't see it.

"Nice to meet you, let me just say you're in for one hell of a summer at Camp Campbell. God you're gonna hate it there at first but you'll warm up to it, although it took me six years"

"Six years? How old are you again?"

"I'm sixteen been going here since I was ten although I think Max has been there the longest."

"Who the heck is Max?"

"He's a good pal of mine although he can be a pain in the butt sometimes"

"Sounds Nice?"

"I guess...Not really..any way what are you going to camp for?

"Oh um I...My...What are you going for?" You couldn't bring yourself to tell him the truth, you just met after all. Why should you start spilling your guts and telling him your every need when you don't even know him. Its best to change the subject.

"Well I went for science camp, but now I just go to hang out with my friends."

"Sounds cool what do you do at this camp anyway like what's the daily routine?"

You and Neil went on talking for what seemed like forever and you two both started to warm up to each other. It was nice having someone to talk to and not yell at you over the tiniest things.

You both didn't stop talking until the bus got to it's next stop. When it did a short girl with big teal hair pulled back into to puffy ponytails walked on. She was wearing a yellow shirt with red overalls and black converse. She was the prettiest thing you ever seen and it made you a little self conscious. Neil was staring at her too with the biggest smile on his face.

"Nikki, good to see ya again" He patted the seat across from him, which was your cue to sink down into your seat. Which really bummed you out because you liked talking to Neil.

"Neil you saw me last week when we dropped off our bags for camp. But hey your voice sounds less high pitched than normal" The girl giggled and Neil scoffed.

"Oh fuck off Nikki."

You couldn't see them now that you were basically inside the seat but you noticed they stopped talking. At the corner of your eye you saw the teal hair slowly move into view and then came eyes and a HUGE smile popped out from behind the seat in front of you.

"Neil" The mouth said not moving to much to ruin the smile.

"Yea?"

"Who's this"
