No matter how hard you tried, you just couldn't get that smile off your face. You thought this summer camp would suck, but you already made a really good friend and you already had a best friend. Even though you only talked to Nikki a full half hour, you loved her like a sister and wanted nothing more than to protect her from everything. Although she'd be the one protecting you. Wasn't Neil just so nice and cool too? God you had butterflies just talking to him.

You continued smiling and made your way back to the crying counselor and kneeled down beside him.

"Hey! You must be the new camper! Your gonna love it here at camp campbell." He wiped his nose and sat up. You could tell he really loved his job here and it kinda made you smile more and for a twenty six year old he was kinda cute.

"Yeah, I already love it here, I came over here though to ask were my tent was?"

"Oh of course, well since your a girl you'd be sharing a tent with Nikki, where is that girl" Still sitting down he put his hands on his hips and looked around for her, you did the same.

"There she is, climbing that tree." You said.

"Oh right, I see her. HEY NIKKI COME OVER HERE FOR A SEC." He yelled pushing himself off the ground and dusting himself off. Nikki looked over and her smile grew wider as she saw you. She slid down the tree and ran over to you both.

"What can I do for you guys?"

"Can you show um..oh silly me I forgot to ask your name and tell you mine. I'm David and the other counselor here is Gwen."

"I'm Y/n"

David told Nikki to bring you to the tents. She told you how happy she was to have her own tent with a girl because sharing one with guys stinks, literally. She dropped you off and told you to meet her and the guys at the mess hall when you were done. The tent was an ugly color and it seemed really small on the outside. You opened up the tent and found it was bigger on the inside, well big enough to have two cots spaced out to each side of the tents and a chair in the back. It was clear to you which side was Nikki's because hers was cover in dirt and her bed had a pile of overalls on her bed. Each one red.

You smiled to yourself because you just noticed how much you and Nikki had in common. You both liked to be outside and hated girly things, although you didn't mind dressing up once in a while. You threw your stuff on the bed and changed into some shorts but left your blue sweater on, it was your favorite. It was the only gift your parents ever got you and it was only given to you as a hand me down when they didn't want to buy you a jacket for winter. They said they needed that money for 'food'.

When you were done getting ready and putting your stuff down. You went to the mess hall and found Nikki, Neil and that Max kid. You walked over and sat down next to Nikki, only because you didn't want it to seem weird if you sat next to Neil. Even though you really wanted to.

"Y/n you made it! Now we can get on with our activity we are going to do" Nikki said jumping up and down in the process.

"Uh no. Nikki, she's not coming with us. You two is enough." Max snapped, giving you a death glare. Max was really cute now that you got a better look at him. He had black hair, that kinda just fell everywhere and big green eyes. He was wearing a blue hoodie that was just like yours but darker also it was a hoodie. To bad he was kinda a jerk.

Neil hit Max's shoulder and spoke up "Hey Max chill out, I know you're mean and all but never this mean."

"Fuck off Neil." Max got up and walked out the door.

"What's his problem?" You asked turning away from the group to get a look at all the other campers you didn't notice when you walked in. There was a big mean looking kid with red hair, A kid with short black hair dressed in a space suit, A cool looking girl with long blonde hair with a streak of pink. A boy with brown hair dressed as a wizard, a girl with black hair that was dressed as an elf wizard, and a kid that kinda looked and dressed like hitler. What a odd group.

"Sorry about Max, don't know what's gotten into him." Neil shook his head.

"Well I don't want to just join your group if it's a bother I can go hang with the other kids it's fine. You guys go get him and I'll go talk to them" You pointed to the other campers and Nikki nodded and grab Neil and started to pull him out of the mess hall.

"Wait I can stay here with h-" He was cut off before he could finished. You took a deep breath and got up to talk to space kid. He watched you as you walked over to him with a huge smile plastered on his face.
