God Max couldn't believe he acted like that. He felt like such an idiot. He don't even know her and he was being a complete dick, well more of a dick than usual. She was just like every other camper out this camp. He needed to calm down. He lean against a tree and watched the door to the mess hall. Maybe Neil would come calm him down. The door opened and out come Nikki and Neil and the girl wasn't with them. He quickly set himself straight and walked over to them maybe if he acted like nothing happened back there no one would bring it up.

"Hey I got some fire crackers in my backpack we could set them off at tonight's welcome back campfire." Max grinned at them. Neil looked over to Nikki and she shrugged.

"Okay I'm in what's the plan" Neil said.

"Oh could it involve a bear!" Nikki said jumping up and down. Max's grin turned into a small smile, a kind one. He liked that over the time the spent they grown to tell what was okay and what wasn't to talk about around each other or maybe not.

"Hey Max, maybe you could go say sorry to Y/n, so was just trying to make friends and you were pretty hard on her more than usual?"

Max shifted his eyes to the floor and tightened his fist. He didn't want to admit to his mistake but he did feel bad. "Fine, but she can't hang with us."

"Awww, but Max I really like her can she please hand with us! I'll keep an eye on her she won't do anything to upset you" Nikki begged, jumping up and down using Max's shoulder.

"Niki, she's not a dog." Neil shot her a look and Maxs laughed to himself.

"Was that a smile! Neil look Maxis smiling oh David said if we see Max smile to report it him and he'll give us pudding!" Nikki shouted, still jumping.

"Wait what? Okay Niki knock that off and If you tell David I will fucking kill you." Max tried to hide his smile.

"Not unless you let Y/n hang with us" Niki sang, letting go of Max and crossing her arms.

"Deal, but If she ticks me of in any way, shes out."

"YES" Neil and Nikki shouted in unison.

Max rolled his eyes and started walking back to the mess hall. He swung the doors opened with Nikki and Neil on his heels. He scanned the room for Y/n and spotted her talking to space kid. He was standing on the table showing her poses, she kinda seemed into it.

Max took a deep breath and walked over to her. Space kid was first to spot him and her eyes soon followed after. When her eyes met yours she shot up in a defense mode.

"Woah there I come in peace" Max tried to sound uninterested and cool, but he felt worse than usual, was she really that aware of his shitty personality.

"Listen I just come over here to say I'm sorry for the way I acted earlier and also-" Max rubbed the back of his neck and sighed. He closed his eyes and spoke 'Do you want to come hang with us?" Max opened one eye and watch as Y/n sat down in her chair and laughed.

"Listen, I don't want your pity, If Nikki and Neil put you up to this then my answers no. I don't want to be a bother and beside I'm fine hanging with space kid."

Max raised an eyebrow "Really? Space kid?"

"Yeah, sorry Nikki and Neil. But I don't want to force Max to like me."

"What they're not making me do this. I'm doing this on my own will nobody tells me what to do." The nerve of some people. Why would Max need to listen to other people. If Max wants to hang out with Y/n he was going to hang out with her. If he wanted the ice cream Preston was eating he was going to take it.

"Look it's fine, I completely understand if you're only doing this for them."

"I am not! Now, get up and follow us outside because you're gonna hang out with me if you like it or not." And with that Max yanked you up out of your seat and dragged you out the doors but not without snatching Drama kids ice cream.

Neil watched as Max pulled Y/n along. He felt kinda upset that Max was even touching her but he kept his mouth shut so he wasn't scaring anyone with his jellyness.

Max stopped a feet away from the camps mess hall and stopped so Nikki and him could catch up. Neil leaned over to catch his breath, but stood up when he say Max was still holding Y/n's hand. He was even more upset when he noticed that Y/n seemed to be blushing a bright red because of it. Neil coughed and Max looked over to him. Neil pointed to the intertwined hands and Max quickly let go.

"Okay, so you kidnapped me now what." Y/n crossed her arms and stared Max down, he glared at her and walked over to the nearest tree to lean on eating the ice cream he snatched from Preston.

"Well, before anything We need to know if you want to hang out with us or not." Max licked his ice cream and looked at Y/n. Neil darted his eyes back and forth at the two. He really wanted to hang with Y/n but didn't want Max anywhere near her.

"Y/n, don't mind him. We really want you to join us."

"Yeah join us. Join us. Join us!" Nikki hooked her arm around Y/n.

"Is this some sort of cult?"Y/n raised an eyebrow and smiled at Nikki and him.

"Only if you want to be." Max said wiping away the remain ice cream off his cheeks and standing up.

"Well, if it's not a cult then yes I'd love to join in on this group."
