Grey. It is a color that which represents the absence of both Light and Darkness. The combination of both White and Black. The Union of which is neither Good nor Evil. A common belief in people that in which their actions, most of them anyways, are shades of grey. They are neither good nor evil, right nor wrong. They are just choices. Choices to continue on survival with no actual impact on you nor everyone else around you. Some people even going to extremes believing there is no evil nor good, every action you do is grey because good and evil do not exist. Right and Wrong are just points of view.

I am here to tell you they are correct, but also very, very wrong. You see, there are shades of grey, where both evil and good reside. You are that shade of grey. Your very existence shows it to be true. But you are the only example of it for Good and Evil exists for it is obvious around you with the universe and the very basics of what is the Universe.

Good is that of Creation, while Evil is that of Destruction. But here is the thing people don't understand about them and why their choices are made, extremes are met, and people become religious zealots to a divine being that exists beyond are comprehension sadly shaking their heads in disappointment in those whom are truly "devout".

But I am getting ahead of myself without explaining anything. What I am writing must seem like those of a madman, or even to some religious folks that I know have condemned me speaking the words of the Devil. Maybe they are, but if they are, then they are also the words of God.

Anyways, back to you being the Grey. Humans are unique, weather scientists say otherwise or not, for it is painfully obvious we are unique on this planet. We hold something no other creature on this planet has in such mass quantities that we affect the very planet we reside on and beyond. Have you guessed what that is yet? I have already told you.

Humans hold the power of both God and the Devil, of both Good and Evil. Of Creation and Destruction. That is why we are shades of Grey for our actions hold consequences of either of those, every action you take has either good or ill effects on those around you, and not just people.

But choices, true neutrality, does not exist. Even though we as a people are shades of grey, the choices we make are either good or evil, right or wrong, and we know so. Every action we take, every choice we make, every word, gesture, breath we continue to do is either that of right or wrong so there are no grey choices. Just the grey that is you to decide what that choice is you make.

This proves in a sense that Good and Evil not only exist but are very real forces around us. But then there are those of you that will say not everything we do is that easy. What about doing a great evil for a greater good, what about good and evil being a point of view. In this I agree, but it still shows that good and evil must therefor exist, and how that choice is truly made. If you do what most consider is a great evil at the time but in the long run is an even greater good with events that lead to only good things and prosperity. If that is the case, even though at the time the act is evil, it is actually good. For it only caused good. But the reverse can be said as well.

This is where some people get lost saying then isn't that neutrality, or that there is no good nor evil. Because an evil act cannot make good and a good act cannot make an evil act. And I agree, for an evil act cannot make a good one. Only your point of view in which actually a good act is being done, is shown as evil. But the reality is that even though some at the time will see it as evil, if the outcome is good then that act is in its very core good. There is a saying for this that can apply here: "One does not make an omelet without cracking a few eggs". This saying has a lot more meaning to it than just basic cooking terms or bad 80's catch phrases.

I will let you think further on this and end this small story here, with a simple request. You, my fellow shade of grey, make your choices wisely. Know that both Good and Evil exist, and both are necessary. They each play their role in existence for existence would not exist without them, this is a fundamental truth, there is no action without an equal and opposite reaction. So I say, choose wisely in what you do. Even a simple choice in a breakfast can lead down a choice that is bad, like blowing up a gas stations toilet making a huge stink for some poor attendant to have to go clean. Or on a more extreme and less likely but still likely possibility, tossing a piece of paper out of your window, littering. This might just upset some person or it might just blow away in the wind or slowly decompose and pollute the earth that is there.

Or, it might choke an animal and kill it, and you are the cause of that death wether you know it or not. Or on the extreme side you throw that simple piece of paper out the window. For someone who is passionate about the earth and having a bad day. They see that piece of paper, that simple piece of paper, and it sets them over the edge for they have already had a bad day. They, from that piece of paper, decide humanity is not worth saving, and decide to go on a killing spree, to purge the earth that is the plague humanity. This is extreme and very, very unlikely, but a possibility. That simple mundane choice to be lazy, causes so many deaths.

So I leave you with this, choose wisely, and choose for the better, for you may be a shade of grey, but your very decisions and actions are not in the eyes of the universe. Every choice you make, you decide to side with the good, or the evil.
