"Teenagers scare the living shit out of m-"

"Hello?" I answer my phone groggily.

"Dallas Rosemary Ember, I told you to come home last night! I thought something bad had happened to you! Where are you, young lady?" I frown at my mother's use of my middle name. It's way too girly for my liking.

"Oh shit, sorry."

"Dallas, language!" my mother scolded.

"Yeah, yeah whatever. Um, Luke and I ended up going to the treehouse and apparently fell asleep. So, technically I am at home, just not in the house."

"Oh Luke, he was always such a sweet boy! You should invite him to eat breakfast!" Oh my, she is in for a surprise.

"Wait, what time is it?"

"A little past eight."

"Oh god, mum! How dare you wake me up so early! I'm going back to sleep, we'll come in for breakfast whenever one of us wakes up, kay?"

"Lazy child... fine." I could tell the 'lazy child' part wasn't meant for me to hear. I hung up the phone and laid back down, snuggling into Luke's chest, falling asleep immediately.

Poke. Poke. Poke. Poke.

Someone, the person that must be poking me, chuckles.

What the fuck? I open my eyes only to be blinded by sunlight seeping in through cracks in the treehouse. My eyes adjust to the light and I see a smiling Luke. "Sup, motherfucker?" I say in a "American" accent, apparently my attempt at the accent is horrible and Luke finds it the funniest thing in the entire world. I glare at him which only makes him laugh harder. "Stop laughing, you couldn't do any better!"

"I bet I could," Luke says, still laughing.

"Oh, really? I'd like to see you try," I challenge.

"Sup, motherfucker?" Luke tries to do an American accent but ends up completely failing. Both Luke and I start laughing at his horrible attempt because it's just that bad.

After our laughing fit I remember my mom wanted me to bring Luke to breakfast. "Luke, you wouldn't mind coming to breakfast, would you? My mum wanted me to invite you."

"Of course!" Luke says excitedly.

"Oh speaking of mums, how's mummy?"

"You still call her that?"

"Duh, Liz is my second mum that I may or may not like better than my actual one!"

"Well, 'mummy" probably would like to see you so you should come over after breakfast."

"I will!"

Me and Luke get off the mattress and try to make ourselves look slightly presentable and climb down the rope ladder and go through the back door of my house.

"Mother! I brought Luke!" I yell walking to the kitchen, Luke following me. My entire family is in the kitchen at the table. Everyone turns to look at us and their eyes widen at Luke's appearance.

"Hi," Luke says, awkwardly.

I sit down in a chair and pull Luke into the chair next to mine and immediately dig into the food.

"Luke, it's been a long time!" My dad smiles at him. I've always liked my dad, he's one of those cool dads and he isn't one to judge. It's rare for him to be home but when he is, it's so much fun. Also, he let me get my tattoos and piercings, not even caring that my mum told him she didn't want me to have any. Luke, my dad and little brother struck up a conversation while my mother seemed to be judging Luke.

After everyone was pretty much finished with breakfast my mum finally decided it was time to be herself, "Dallas, why didn't you tell me that Luke turned into such a... I don't even know, such a punk?" She said, looking at Luke with disgust.

"Was it any of your business what he looked like? There's nothing wrong with him," I said, looking at Luke myself and seeing how uncomfortable he looked.

"I don't want my daughter hanging out with someone like him."

"Jessica," my dad intervened.

I stood up from the table and grabbed Luke's hand as soon as he was stood up I pulled him out of the house.

"I'm so sorry," I apologized to Luke, he looked hurt by what my mother said.

"It's fine, I guess." He sighed.

"Luke, it's not. She didn't have the right to say that. There's nothing wrong with tattoos and piercings."

"It's fine, really."

I pulled Luke into a hug and he immediately hugged back. After a couple of minutes of hugging, I pulled away, "Now, let's go see mumma Hemmings!"

So so so so sorry for slow updates!

I'm the worst at updating and I'm sorry for that, I truly am.

I even have a reminder to tell me to update and I still don't and I apologize for that!

Comment, vote, fan, I don't know! Do whatever you want I guess!
