Percy against the law

Percy was no longer pale, he was set in the cradle, steve was hesitant about it, and so was tony, but when bruce said he'd guide the cradle while it stitched percys face, he felt better.

And when steve offered to take him to an actual hospital, Bruces' eyes flashed a poison green, "thats not an option".

It was three hours later, percy had no scar on his face, just a pink , tender line, and a grey eye he could semi- see out of, be was exhausted, and bruce insisted he MUST stay in case there was any change in his condition.

Bruce all but pushed steve and tony out of his lab, he seemed on edge, and tony seemed fidgety.

"Anything I should know about?", steve asked once bruce closed the lab door behind them, "Ross stopped bye, Thor rushed bruce to his room so he wouldn't be seen", tony said as they began to walk.

"What did he want", Steve was already annoyed, Secretary ross had been trying to drag bruce away for a while, saying 'he is legally government property'.

The first time he arrived he arrived with several guards, and vision and wanda tore most of then apart when one made a grab at bruce.

"So he's been locking himself up in the lab?", tony gave a grim nod, "nat and thor can coach him out some times, but he has vision bring him food", tony checked his watch.

"Pepper is expecting me", he slapped steve on the shoulder, "bring barnes bye next time","you know hr hates the labs", Tony rolled his eyes, "bruce wants the check on him", he waved steve off with a grin.

"You cant keep hogging him", steve flushed red ,"when i pick up percy ill bring him", Lie.

Steve went home and the next morning he checked if Posidon was home, but he wasn't.

He looked in the house, he didnt want to say he broke in, because bucky climbed through the window and let him in.

The two soldiers were going through boxes when a woman nocked on the door, steve froze and made a shush at bucky, who slowly pulled out a gun, they crept to the door, bucky hid behind the door as steve opened it after looking through the peep hole.

"P-", the woman froze, hand shooting down to grab her sons shoulder.

It was a latina looking woman, with a long dark braid, she had on a sweater , jacket, and jeans that looked greased.

Her son was at stomach height, with curly black hair and pointy ears, he had on a hoodie and jeans.

"Oh- im sorry, this must be the wrong apartment", she backed up, "you know posidon?",steve asked, she pulled leo close, bucky grinned, steve sounded like a crazy person.

"Goodness, no, i came by the see if percy was here, he usually has breakfast with us-", she eyed him, the boy grabbed his mothers leg in realization.

"Im steve", he grinned down at the boy, " im the neighbor, percy- he's not here, he's at the hospital","visiting his mom?", the boy asked.

The woman squeezed the boys shoulder, "¡querido! no seas grosero", "thats not rude!", the boy argued.

The woman waved a hand at steve, flustered, "my apologies! I'm Esperanza Valdez but you may call me maria, and this little spitfire is my son leo", leo waved, then without warning he stepped forward, makeing steve instinctively step back, and then leo turned, and kicked the door, straight in buckys face.

The door flew back and hit bucky in the nose, "OW! Son 'uva-", maria grabbed leo and dragged him back , cursing at him in Spanish as bucky stepped around the door, gun hiden.

"You little-", he closed his mouth when steve shot him a look, "-smart fella", he finished, rubbing his nose.

"So percy isnt here?", leo asked, looking at the two, "no, he was attacked by a dog", steve told him, he Looked at maria apologetically, "you wouldn't happen to know  how to get ahold of his dad, would you?".

Maria looked weiry of the two, "how much do you know? About... Him and his father?", steve and bucky shared a look, "we know enough, and we know that we cant just call him", bucky offered.

Maria hesitated, but then led leo inside, she dug around some boxes before yelling in triumph.

"Here! A drachma!", she held out a gold coin, "Querida, get me a spray bottle of water", leo scampered off.

Maria led steve and bucky to a window and opened it up, the sun was surprising bright, she took the bottle from leo and shooed him away, "but-" ," do not argue with me right now", she waved a finger at him and he crawled off with a huff.

"So, you spray for a rainbow, then make offering, you want posidon?".

Steve nodded, she threw the coin into the mist and it vanished, this made steve and bucky sit straighter and stare at her expectantly.

"Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering, show me Posidon, Atlantis"

The image shimmered and maria stepped back, letting steve step in front of it, suddenly posidon showed up on screen, he was in armor, and looked tired, jis hair was frayed and floating, he stood on a balcony, steve could see Behind him.

He was in awe, a kingdom, an underwater kingdom, "rogers?",  steve looked at posidon, "sir, we've been trying to get ahold of you-","-yes yes, hows my son? Can i speak to him?", posidon gripped his trident and gave a weak smile.

"Percy isnt here- he's at the tower, resting, he ran into a monster and got a nasty gash on his face"

Posidons smile fell and he closed his eyes briefly, "he's ok?", steve nodded and watched posidon glance behind him, "can you take care of him?"

"Can I- when can you come back? You vanished with no explanation-"," the gods are at war, steven, please, i must protect my people, understand this", steve saw bucky twitch.

"With all due respect, sir, percy is your people as well", posidon gave him a hard look.

"Ill send for him later then, if you want to drag him away from an actual home-","-no, no. Sorry. I just dont understand how he can stand being alone all the time".

""I dont either", Posidon wilted, eyes sad, "please watch him for me, I'll be back as soon as i possibly can- but things are not looking good for us at the moment"

Steve nodded , "before you go, i need you to take a message, can you do this?"

"Of course"

"Tell percy that ill be home soon, and he needs not worry", posidons voice wobbled, he put a hand over his mouth, "protect him, i beg of you", posidon took a deep breath.

"And I need you to ask thor somthing", he seemed more grim.

"What is it?"

"What does he know of the godess..."
