Percy against the law

It should be against the law to shoot someone while they're hanging Christmas lights, Steve considers, annoyed.

Steve had been hanging Christmas lights for his neighbor, a little old lady, and was on the fire escape, when a paintball hit him in the side of the head.

He wobbled and nearly fell off the fire escape, he looked to the left and sure enough, stabding on the tiny balcony next to him, was a familiar boy.

Percy held up his hands and backed away, he backed up into his dad, wincing as a hand grabbed his shoulder, and yanked the paintball gun away from percy with the other hand.

"My apologies for my boy!", Percy looked up at his dad like he was insane,
"you know how kids are, shooting random people and all!", Poseidon laughed meekly.

Steve rubbed the side of his head, and blinked, he rubbed his eyes when he realized the two had vanished.

Later that day there was a knock at the door, he opened it and froze, it was percy and posidon, percy had on a blue sweater and green scarf, along with jeans and sneakers, posidon had on cargo shorts and a blue sweater, and for some reason flip flops, he had a fisher hat on and held a bowl wrapped in foil in one hand.

His other hand went up, palm faceing steve. ✋

"Greeting!", he nudged percy, "greeting", percy choked out, "hello", steve narrowed his eyes.

"I'd like to apologize for percy, since he shot you!", posidon grinned and ruffled percys hair, he then held the bowl out to steve, "this is lamb meatballs! A traditional greek food".

Steve took the bowl, "sir-"

"Poseidon"

"Poseidon, do you Remeber meeting me?", posidon tilted his head, "I've met many mortals-"

"Dad!", percy put his hands on his face, "the helicopter thing?"

Poseidon gave percy a blank look, "captain America?", percy stared at his father expectantly, posidon shrugged.

Steve rubbed his eyes , "thors friend?"

"AH!", posidon snapped his fingers, "yes! You Kidnapped my son, steve, was it?"

Steve nodded, "about that-","-all is forgiven, but you might have trouble if you go in my domain", a dark look was shot at steve.

"Do you live here?", steve looked down the hallway, "we just moved in", percy gave him a sympathetic look.

"Yes! School starts very soon for percy", posidon put a hand on percys head, giving a fond smile, "im sure you'll be off doing that hero mortal thing, yeah?".

Steve nodded, "cold weather means we usually have to travel", he looked down at percy, "i wanted to talk to you, before you run off".

Posidon glanced down at percy, "if its about kidnapping my son-","- Oh no! I'd like to offer you some help", posidon frowned.

"If you ever have- godly dutys- i could watch percy for you, its much safer than leting him run around new york alone"

Percys eyes went wide, "wh-","that sounds fantastic!","DAD!"

percy looked conflicted, "i go to see leo! And the fishermen- and mom, alone all the time, ive always been fine", he argued, "perseus, after what hades did, its unwise to go about alone", posidon scolded his son.

"Would you rather steve or triton?", "steve", percy said without hesitation.

Steve grinned at percy , who weirly looked up at him.

Then steves neighbor walked out, he shot them polite smile, "paul", steve nodded, "captain".

The teacher scurried away.

Poseidon looked at his wrist and snapped his fingers, "look at the time! Hermes had some work for you to do perseus, and i have- well i have a kingdom to run, ill be back as soon as i can!"

"Ill be here if you need me", steve offered, percy nodded and followed his dad.

"Bye!", percy yelled and scurried down the steps after his dad.

"Steve!", steve rolled his eyes at the impatient voice coming from inside his apartment.
