I look into my mirror and stare at my eyes. One of my eyes it the same colour as my mates, the other, is mine. But it's frickin annoying as hell. I don't even know which eye colour is mine. is mine the baby blue eye or the jade eye? My auntie said that when I meet my mate my eyes will turn there original colour and vice versa. My mum never found her mate so her eyes are just stuck as a electric blue and a forest green.
"Joanne! It's time to go" I sigh in frustration and grab my phone and walk out the door to wait for mum at the car.
"Joanne lets go" I hear mum yell inside, I laugh and yell at her that I'm out side.
She comes out and laughs at herself "I didn't see you come out the house"
I shake my head at her and hop in the car.
"Jo, I though I asked you to wear a dress?"
"Yeah well I thought that I wouldn't because... well because I didn't want to really."
"We're going to breakfast with your grandparents"
"And?"
"Well I just thought that it would be nice, if you dressed up a little"
"Mum. I'm not in tracksuit pants and a overly large jumper. I'm wearing a nice top, nice jeans, and who cares if I'm wearing high tops? Grandma and grandad know me well enough to know that this is dressed up."
Mum sighs "I'm not going to win this am i?"
"Slim chance"
Shaking her head she shifts the car into drive.
"So where are we going for breakfast anyway?"
"Some fancy place that grandma says we'll love"
"Slim chance"

"Joanne!!" My grandma exclaims and caches me in a bone crushing hug
"Hi grandma"
With grandma letting me go I walkover to grandad and hug him lightly nothing like grandma.
"How've you been Joanne?"
"Alright just assignments are practically drowning me"
"Sound like fun"
"Come on, you chatterboxes we need to go"
Walking out the door and out to the busy streets of the city, turning to walk to the...well were ever it is were going.
As we approach a huge restaurant thingy. As we walk up to the doors, they open to revel a lushes red carpet and...well it looks like a hotel you would see in a movie. The door waiter guy points us down the hallway to two other men, they greet us with smiles and point us to our table. "You can go into the other room where there it food and entertainment, when your ready"
We thank him and sit down. I look at mum asking it I can go and get food, she nods and I grab my plate and walk into the other room, and holy cow that's a lot of food I walk up to the scrambled eggs and bacon then retreated to the table and dig in, mum excuses herself to get some food, after 10 minuets mum hasn't returned so I go to look for her/fill up my plate again I walk out and find mum speaking to the musician, I approach them and hear mum laugh, I walk up to mum and she immediately says
"Ryan meet my daughter Joanne, Joanne this is Ryan." I look at Ryan and see deep forest green eyes. Eyes that I've seen my whole life. I flip around to mum and see both her eyes a bright electric blue.
"Mum"
"I know honey"
I blink between Ryan and mum "you to-are-you are-he-you-what?"
Mum laughs and well this is the happiest I've seen her in years.
I nod my head "ok." I turn to Ryan and outstretch my hand "hi Ryan. You better be a great husband to my mother"
Ryan shakes my hand and laughs "I sure hope I can live up to your expectations"
I nod once and walk to the pastry table grab some pastry's and run around, right into someone. Crunching the pastry all over their black sweeter "oh-my-gosh-I'm-so-sorry" I say brushing the crumbs off the sweater. The chest rumbles, laughing, they're laughing.
"Its fine I never wear this anyway, if I had it my way I'd be in sweatpants and a large jumper" I look up at the male, laughing.
"Dido" my breath caches I my throat at his face onyx hair messy but in a neat way soft features, and his eyes, the same eyes I've been looking at my whole life, except his blue one is changing to a jade green, I laugh, mate, he's my mate.
"Joanne" I blurt like an idiot
He laughs a real rich laugh, amazing.
"Chris"
