Unloved.

Those were the moments that I now look back upon,
Sometimes when he looked into my eyes,
And when he held me tightly in his arms,
I could almost see through even in the darkness,
I could feel in my heart that I would lose him someday,
With my heart crashing into pieces,
I felt so broken,
I knew deep down,
I was unloved even when I was loved.

I couldn't comprehend how many colours did he hide inside his soul,
I was an utter chaos, he was like an open book,
A chaos which was aching to be loved,
And burning to be desperately mollycoddled,
I counted him as one of my inspirations,
Yet I never was aware he could be someday my breaking point,
Although he appeared to be so near,
Yet I couldn't touch him nor could I hear,
The whispers of my heart are better left unsaid, dear,
Because I was unloved even when I was loved.

Those sweet illusions pushed me further & further away,
As time concluded I knew, he was indeed a huge mistake,
For time grew slower & slower,
The blessed memories went bitter,
The wounds of which never healed,
Those piercing words which bled my ears,
I cried myself to sleep every night,
And that separateness felt like a curse,
How could I even think of being loved?
Because I was born to be unloved.
