Max walked slowly towards Chase Space. Almost in a daze. That dream last night; it really caused some feelings to surface. It had come to our heroine's attention she was developing feelings for the beast of Seattle. Hopefully taking pictures today would make Max's brain forget about that dream.

Josh was right.

As always.

Max opened the studio door, walking inside; she looked around carefully. Reaching for her camera, she snapped a picture of Jen who was carefully painting away as always. A smile formed on Max's lips. "Amazing" she whispered to herself.

"I know I am, Max. Thank you"

Max jumped out of her skin and smirked at Jen who was eyeing her up and down.

"You alright? you left in such a hurry last night"

"Y-yeah I'm ok, just going through some issues" Max explained.

Jen cocked an eyebrow and placed her hands on her hips.

"Max, talk to me. There's something else you're not telling me"

Max bit the inside of her cheek and sighed, heavily.

She was caught red handed.

"Ahh I see. So you're coming to terms with some old feelings?"

Max nodded, stroking her camera, slowly.

"Yeah...my buddy Josh back home; he knew about these feelings I had before anyone else even me" she explained.

Jen nodded, humming lightly before speaking up.

"Why don't you tell her?" she asked.

Max's eyes went wide as she began to flail her arms up.

"Nononono I can't tell Victoria this. It could just be passing-" she was cut off.

Jen smirked.

"These are not passing feelings, Max. These feelings you have been feeling have surfaced for a reason. Maybe hanging out with Victoria would help you figure them out more closely. You have to face this whether you want to or not" Jen explained. She was wise; Max knew Jen was right but how would she go about this?

Could she ask Victoria to hang out with her?

Or would she chicken out and just call it a day?

Max sighed and looked away. "I'm so lame, Jen. I shouldn't be feeling this way for someone who has been nothing but stressful since day one at Blackwell."

Jen placed a hand on Max's shoulder and spoke up, tenderly.

"Listen to me; You're no where near lame, hun. Sometimes we develop feelings for people through our lives because they remind us of a time where we were brave or happy even. Love is a touchy subject but how do you know she isn't feeling the same way you are? Maybe it's possible Victoria likes you as much as you do for her? You will never know unless you try."

Max was taking in every word her friend was speaking with full understanding.

Maybe Jen was right.

Or maybe she was wrong.

She would never know unless she became brave and went for it.

"Alright, Jen. I'll try."

Max knew this wasn't going to be easy but she had to try.

Or maybe she didn't have to try at all.

Max held her phone to her ear. She was nervous. She was pacing outside the gallery. A deer in headlights she looked like. Soon a voice rang through her ear.

"Hello?"

"Umm Victoria?"

"Caulfield. How did you get my number?"

Max bit her bottom lip.

God even her voice sends shivers down her spine.

"I-I umm your mother gave it to me. Look, I was wondering if you'd like to-I don't know; hang out with me?" she asked. Max sounded desperate in a way.

That was a lie. Jennifer actually gave Max her number. Cute little liar Max was.

Victoria cocked an eyebrow and smirked through the phone almost.

"So when did you get balls, Caulfield? In school, you would never even answered my bitchy texts, hm?"

She was waiting for an answer, Max. Better come up with one fast.

"I don't know, I guess coming back to Seattle changes people" she explained.

Nice, Max. Nice answer.

A chuckle came through the phone's speaker. Max nearly had a heart attack.

Victoria was actually finding Max funny.

"Alright, Caulfield. I'll humor you and come out to play or hang as you call it with your hipster slang" Victoria replied, her normal annoyed tone shinning through.

Blinking. Max swallowed, hard. The two said their goodbyes before hanging up the call.

A huge smile graced Max's lips. Jen was watching from a far and soon spoke up.

"Well?"

"She said yes."

Jen jumped for Max and they both collapsed outside the gallery.

"Ah Max, you see?! You did it! Now go and see your lady" she joked.

Max punched Jen in the arm and smirked.

"Jen shut up, she isn't my lady" she blushed at her own comment.

Jen helped Max to her feet and ushered her off.

Max didn't get much work done today but that was alright. She had a date.

Wait. A date?

Did she just call it a date?

Alright, Max. Get a hold of yourself.

Victoria looked at her phone for a moment. Her cheeks were a slight shade of pink.

"Fuckin hipster. Having more balls then me" she mumbled to herself before throwing her phone onto the couch. The queen sat there for a moment to get her thoughts together. Max really asked her to hang out or chill or whatever she'd like to call it.  Her fingers ran through her pixie cut blonde hair, she needed to get ready in order to meet Max at the coffee shop near the gallery.

A grey Cashmere sweater and black dress slacks would work for today.

Victoria slowly looked over herself in the mirror. She smirked.

"I'll make that hipster choke on her drink. Maybe I can have a little fun myself."

Oh Victoria, what are you doing?

Were these feelings really real?

Why were they such a big deal?

This hipster really got under your skin, huh?

Victoria sighed and huffed to herself before slipping on her shoes, grabbing her phone and purse; she walked out of her condo.

On a mission to make the hipster choke on her words.

"Let's see how much balls you got, Caulfield."
