The car ride was quiet.

Max was still trying to process what was going on.

"Okokok  breath Max..Victoria just happened to be in the area right?"

Max thought to herself.

She looked like she was going to explode right there. Max loosened her tie and swallowed again.

Victoria noticed Max shifted in the car seat. She sighed and soon reared off the next exit. Max blinked and then spoke up.

"The beach? Why are we going there?" she asked.

Victoria turned her head to looked at her for a second.

"Well I thought it would be a nice get away for both of us" Victoria explained.

Ok Victoria. What are you doing?

Was this a date or just in the moment kind of thing?

Max blinked and began to fiddle with her fingers. She was becoming nervous now. The angst was not easily ignored. Here she was, sitting next to the queen bee who tried to ruin her time at Blackwell Academy.  To top it all off, Max was in the car with her!

"Ah Max, what have you gotten yourself into this time?" she asked herself.

Pulling up into the beach parking lot, Victoria parked in a close spot so they didn't have to walk far. Turning the car off, the queen bee turned and looked at Max, closely.

She was an image of pure innocence. Max had never done anything bad. Never drank. Never smoked. Nothing to land her in jail. Nothing. Victoria blinked. She noticed she was staring too long which caused Max to catch on.

Their eyes met. Locked in a gaze that felt different then all the times their eyes met in the hallway of Blackwell.  Victoria soon spoke up, "Come on, let's walk on the beach, hipster" she grumbled.

Max's cheeks were red. Her heart nearly jumping from her chest. She felt so different right now. Like she was in a movie or something. Victoria was acting so strange tonight. Just acting odd all together. The two walked along side each other. Max cleared her throat as she spoke up.

"So is there a reason you brought me here, Victoria?"

"Actually there is a reason, Maxine"

Max felt the venom in her voice. She winced a bit before looking down.

"Don't look away from me, Max. I hate when you do that" Victoria explained.

Quickly, Max looked up and saw Victoria very close to her. She almost stumbled backwards before she felt slender arms wrap around her waist. "Whoa...Vic-" she was cut off by a finger pressed against her lips. A smile. A tender smile was present on Victoria's lips.

Whoawhoawhoa!

Victoria was leaning in for a kiss-!

Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Ah!"

Max jumped up out of a dead sleep. Cold sweat dripping down her neck. She was red in the face and blinked a few times before realizing where she was.

"I'm in the hotel room...wait I went to dinner and then said my good byes to Jen and Chuck...what the hell? I could have sworn Victoria was there....or was she not?" she was thinking too damn hard.

It was just a dream, Max. No need to freak out.

Max got up from her bed and walked towards the small kitchenette. She was going to make herself some coffee before her head imploded on itself.  This was all too crazy. Max was becoming someone she didn't recognize. Victoria was on her brain; morning to night; dawn to dusk.

Was this normal?

Normal to feel this way for someone who was the enemy?

"Ok, just get dressed and go to the studio, get your job done"

Max whispered to herself, sipping her coffee.

The day was just beginning.
