1:49pm
It wasn't long for the cab driver to pull up to the hotel. Max climbed out of the taxi and paid her fare before making her way inside. She grabbed a small coffee from the small coffee station inside the lobby. Max calmly made her way to the elevator. Pressing the button, she awaited patiently.
Ding. Ding.
Blinking, she reached inside her pocket for her phone, Max raised an eyebrow and noticed a text message from unknown number. She bit the inside of her cheek and opened the message.
Unknown: Maxine Caulfield, if you're smart; you'll STAY AWAY from Victoria Chase. If you don't heed my warning; I shall be forced to come forth and have a nice conversation with you. Understand, bitch?
Max swallowed, hard. She didn't understand what was happening right now. She went on a nice date with Victoria and had a wonderful time and now someone was threating her to stay away from her. She shrugged it off and deleted the text message. But a question crossed her mind.
Should she tell Victoria?
The photographer hesitated for a moment outside her hotel room. She was getting anxious again. Her calm mind was now frantic. Max closed the door and made her way to the bed. She flopped herself down and sighed, heavily.
"I have to go to Chase Space and finish the photos." she told herself. Max was already cleaned up and dressed so now would be the time to get in gear and move forward before the deadline was met.

Snap. Snap. Snap.
The shutter bug had Max in it's grip. She moved around Jennifer's latest piece. Jennifer watched Max, closely and cocked her head to the side. "You seem distant, Max. Did all go well with Victoria?" she asked.
Max blinked and looked up from her camera. She smiled and nodded.
"Yes. Actually went very well, Jen. I got really drunk and we made out" she blushed, explaining the previous night.
Jen smirked and giggled.
"Ohhhhhh so did you go further?"
Jen was nosey now. She wanted the tea. That's for sure.
Max chuckled, blushing madly.
"N-no not yet. But I want to go slow, Jen. This is a brand new relationship for me since..." she paused. Jen noticed Max's behavior changed.
"I see; you lost someone you loved very dearly" Jen whispered, coming closer to Max's side. Max nodded and felt a thump in her throat beginning to form. The tears were coming but Jen pulled Max into a long hug.
"Hey, hey; no worries, love. If you can't talk about it then you don't have to. I won't pry and sorry if it seems like I am" Jen confessed as her cheeks turned a light pink hue.
Max swallowed; trying to rid her throat of the thump. She whispered softly.
"Don't worry about it, Jen; I will tell you about Chloe but when I'm ready" she explained.
Jen's eyes went wide for a sec. She nodded.
"Well her name is Chloe so that's a start."
Max smiled, tenderly before going back to snapping the rest of the photos.
Jen would soon know of Max's past but only time will tell.

"Victoria! Over here!" yelled a man, waving her down at a near by table.
