This is a rewind chapter. Let's go back in time.

Short blond hair bobbed above the young woman's shoulders as she stomps her way upstairs towards the room at the end of her house's corridor. She aggressively unbuttons the first of the locks of her pink colored blouse, scratching at the annoying fabric of her formal wear she rarely uses. Her chrome red gaze brings back to wooden door, an All Might designed sign hanging with the name marked Katsuki. Bakugou Mitsuki takes a long and deep breath, steeling herself on what she'll see before she bangs the door open and shouts.

"Katsuki! You're missing daycare! Get your butt up, you lazy brat!" She walks over the small bed and rips off the soft blanket hovering over her four year old kid. The All Might cover discarded at the corner reveals a small shivering child, his eyes glaring blood red like her's yet the goal to intimidate dwindled by the sight of his puffy tear stricken face.

"Get out, old hag!" Katsuki throws a pillow towards his mother which she easily defends herself with one hand.

Mitsuki deeply sighs, her boiling annoyance slowly dips into a blue calm when she sees her poor boy's eyes. Her son Katsuki is a stubborn boy, overly confident, a brat, has a fucking potty mouth but it's her boy. Her child and her Katsuki cries for one reason alone.

Mitsuki knows why. She was the one who picked him up after day care yesterday. She was the one cooing him back to sleep after that ridiculous explanation of his daycare teacher. She was the one who held him close as Katsuki practically screams his best friend's name while he held his new All Might action figure with a death grip.

Mitsuki sits on the edge of the small bed looking over the room  decorated with All Might posters and comics. She shuts her eyes seeing a picture frame, reflecting a three year old pair smiling wide wearing hero costumes. She starts to speak, trying to make her voice calm and soothing, a tone she rarely uses to her own son.

"Katsuki, I know this is about that girl who transferred out yesterday."

Katsuki stays silent, gripping his action figure tight on his hands and scurries away to the corner of his bed, looking at anything but Mitsuki. He hides his palms under his shirt, scratching and gripping it tense until red.

Mitsuki eyes his palms, continuing. "And I heard from your teacher. That girl Anna had a fortune quirk, right?"

Katsuki stiffens at the mention of her name and screams, "SHUT UP!"

"LISTEN, KATSUKI!" Two slender hands swoop in and grabs both of Katsuki's cheeks. Mitsuki pulls Katsuki towards her, dragging her small child to her sight. Her eyes burn Katsuki to a still, his tears stop at the sight of his mother's eyes full of worry until he looks away. She clicks her tongue at the sight of him and steals that precious toy.

"Give it back, damn it!" Katsuki screams, his hands flailing to reach his toy but Mitsuki pushes him away.

"Is this what you're gonna do for the rest of the day? Crying like a brat? Is this what you'll do when you see Izuku tomorrow?"

Katsuki shakes his head, trying to push away his mother's grip on him but fails. "I don't want to see Izuku anymore! I CAN'T!"

Mitsuki's expression unimpressed. She turns back and heads over the open window of Katsuki's room. "Is that so? So I'll just throw this away then?"
