9:35 am.
"Can you believe it?" Taeyong screams, running down the stairs. I growl at him, my head pounding like there is no tomorrow.
"Believe what, you skinny, long, legged squidward." I roll my eyes at him, making him hop over the couch, and land right next to me, his arm wrapping around my shoulders.
"We've known each other for four months! Can you believe it?" He smiled so happily. Why was he so happy to be my friend?
"Nice."
"'Nice'? That's it? You're not happy?" He frowns. "I just don't understand why you're happy. We're just friends, it's not like I'm in love with you, or you're in love with me. Heck I can't even remember you properly."
This broke his heart. His face dropped and it seemed like he was about to cry. He just laughed it off, ruffled my hair, got up, and left back upstairs. You know that feeling where you know you hurt someone's feelings, without meaning to, where your heart feels like it's curling up into a little ball, and your stomach is churning? Yeah, that's probably the worst feeling I've ever felt.
I got off the couch, stole his car keys, and left.
6:55 pm
"Taeyong! Come down! I need your help!" I called, smiling. He makes his way down the stairs, his hands deep down his front pockets. "What? I have someone over." He seemed annoyed. My heart felt like it was curling up again.Within seconds, a half naked girl appeared at the corner of the stairs. "Oh, never mind. I'll just ask WinWin or someone. Sorry I bothered you," I smile. "Alright, whatever." He shrugs and turns on his heel, walking back up the stairs.
I walk out the door, shutting it quietly. I lean against the big wooden doors, sliding down the wood. I stared at the car. "What's with the balloons and bears and gifts?" Lucas laughs, running up the stairs. I pursed my lips, shrugging. "Wanna help me return all these?" I whimpered.
"What why? Are they for Taeyong? Oh! He loves teddy bears! Just give it to him!"
"He has a girl over. I'll be home late. Don't wait up." I breathe, standing up. "Hey, explain. What's wrong? You're gonna cry."
I got him in the car, and explained what I had said and what I had done. "You two are so idiotic, honestly. I don't know if you know this, but everyone fucking knows that Taeyong is in love with you! He literally cried himself to sleep everyday after you two stopped talking, and recently because you lost your memory."
I gripped the steering wheel tight, anxiety building inside me. "Please don't play with me like that." I whisper. "Do you have feelings for him?"
I didn't answer him. I thought about it for a while. We drove around, until he got a call.
"It's Taeyong." He sighs, picking up, and putting him on speaker.
"Where is she?"
"Who?"
"You know damn well who, Lucas! Where is Nolan?"
"I don't know, why?"
"Her brother is here, he's asking for her, I can't tell him 'hey I lost your little sister, bye.' You're actually crazy if you think I would let her get lost. I really love her. She doesn't know me, I know, and she doesn't feel the same way, but, I just need to know, if she's safe."
"She's fine. She's driving. We're on our way back home. She just had to return a couple things."
"Oh thank god."Lucas hung up, and sighed. "Sucks you returned all that bullshit you bought for that fucker." He laughs. Quietly biting my lips, anxiously, I drove back home.
"Are you going to get out the car?" Lucas teases. "I think I'm going to go home. I think I just uhm- yeah. I'm just going to go home- yeah, bye." I toss him the keys, and begin to walk off.
"Wait!" A scream sounded from the door. I didn't wanna wait. I wanted to run. I wanted to escape. I felt enclosed, even though there was so much space. I felt suffocated, even though there was so much room and air. I felt heartbreak, even though he wasn't even mine in the first place.
