Chapter III

May 3, 1997

The winter breeze flew around in the "city of dreams" New York,NY. Kim just gave birth to her beautiful daughter. Luckily she was at her mothers house or else she would have to go through this alone. Yes, the child's father was not around. After 6 hours of hard labor at the St.Henry Hospital the two rested.

"Shes adorable!" Janet said, she was so happy her daughter finally gave birth to her only granddaughter

"I know ma, I think I will name her Megan, yea Megan Mari Jackson,

....I love her so much already, and look she even has a little spot right there on her cheek." Kim said

"I see sweetie. We call those beauty marks."

"She's so beautiful, I'm going to give her everything I never had." Kim said with so much honesty and passion laced in her voice

"Like I did for you" Janet said with a chuckle.

"Yea Ma, well it's time for me to go I'll call you later ok."

Kim finally got her own apartment and was ready to live her happy life, with the love of her life, her babygirl...

"Ok sweetie, love you"

"Love you too"

2007

"Mommy why do I have all these spots on my face?"

"I don't know Megan, sweetie even with them you are still beautiful."

"They say I'm ugly at school, one kid said during break he's going to play connect the dots on my face. Why can't I be normal?"

"Were all human right?"

"Yea Ma"

"Well then I don't see a difference, you can't let them get to you Meg , as long as you know your beautiful then there is no problem at all you hear me. I love you no matter how you look and you know god loves you too ,that's why he made you so special, ok."

"Thank you Ma."

"Mmm hmm now come on time for bed. " Kim was so upset ,and was worried about her babygirl

"Goodnight baby"

"Night Ma"

Megan knew this was just the beginning, the teasing and taunting seemed like it was never going to end...Luckily she had Elijah. Elijah is her best friend. He never looks at Megan's spots. Really he didn't care. he loved Megan's personality, which was a amazing one. Nobody really knew that cause they never took the time too look past the spots.

"Haha look at her face!" Sam yelled to the class

"Leave me alone!" Megan sniffled

"Nahh, I think its time for anther round of connect the dots." Sam said laughing coming closer to Megan

"Hey leave her alone." Elijah said

He couldn't stand when People used to pick on Megan, even though he didn't really know her , he felt a connection because he always noticed her when everyone didn't ... just at the age of 7.

Megan was shocked. No one ever took up for her before. Especially a stranger. Usually they would just stare at her.

"Elijah dude, stop being a wuss you know it's funny." Sam said

"Nahh what's funny is the same clothes you wear everyday or the way your teeth-"

"Ok, ok man . whatever!" Sam chuckled while walking away

"Don't let them get to you, I'm Elijah by the way."

To say Megan was shocked was an understatement

"Uhhmm I'm Meg...Megan"

"Nice to meet you."

Megan knew from that day forth she had a bestfriend.
