Jake POV
Hey my name is Jake! Im the QB on the jv team at Ohio high school. Im in love with a cheerleader named alissa violet and we are dating and have been for almost a year. I have a best friend named Erika. I have an older brother who is a senior oh and Btw im a junior. But anways his name is logan and he is an absolute asshole. He brings girls over almost everyday and sometimes I cant sleep because of how loud they are. Sometimes im not even sure the girl wants it. But I try not to think abt it cuz it stresses me out to much. My mom works at a hospital and has the night shift so I barely see her and my dad died when I was 2. Tomorrow is the 1st day back to school for junior year and Im dreading it. The only thing good abt school is alissa.

Logan POV
Hey my names logan um im a senior captain of varsity football team. I fuck a girl almost every single night um I have a lil bro named jake that I dont give a crap about and I know I sound like a jerk but dats just me.

Alissa POV
Hey my name is alissa im a junior. Im captain of the cheerleading squad. I hate to admit it but yes I cheat on Jake. Dont get me wrong he's a great guy but he doesnt wann have sex till senior year and I just couldnt wait that long. Iv cheated on him most of the time with logan and a few other guys I cant remember. I think imma breakup up with him tomorrow.

Erika POV
Hey my name is Erika. Im best friends with Jake. I also have a little crush on jake but he has a girlfriend so thats not gonna happen and He will never think of me that way. His girlfriend is cheating on him but I havent had the guts to tell him. I think im gonna tell him tomorrow. My whole family died in a car crash when I was a freshman so now I live in a cheap apartment in the not so great part of town. Im able to pay the rent bc of jakes mom. She lends me 1.5k each month cuz shes a doctor. If it werent for her and Jake id be dead right now...

2 years earlier...
JAKE POV
I looked at my phone and it said erika texted me. The text said "Goodbye Jake, thank you for always being there for me but it just wasnt enough."
As soon as I read that text I yelled for my mom to drive me to Erikas house. Once I got there I opened the door and told my mom to drive back home. I raced up the stairs to level 2 where her apartment is located. The door was locked but I managed to break down the door. I got inside and I looked in the bathroom and there she was. In her bathtub with blood spilling out of her sides. I checked her pulse and surprisingly there was a little heart beat. I picked up her frail body and laid her on the couch. I called 911..
911: 911 whats your emergency...
Jake: My best friend just attempted suicide and is about to die please hurry!
911: Calm down sir we will be right there. Whats the adress?
Jake: Um it Greys blvd 1256, ohio valley 49041 apartment number 24 on the 2nd level
911: Ok they will be there shortly
Jake: Plz hurry
and with that all I could do was sit and wait.
5 min later...
About 5 min later a bunch of people came in and one picked her up and they started rushing her outside.
Jake: Plz be careful!
I then followed them outside and I jumped into the ambulance with her.
EMT: You cant be in the ambulance
Jake: But im her um brother
EMT: Ok then

Once we arrived at the hospital they took her to a room and left me in the wating room while she got stitches in her sides.

2 hours later...
Nurse: Anyone here for Erika Michelle- Anne Costell
Jake: Um me
Nurse: Follow me please

So then I followed her up an elevator and down a long hallway to a room.
Nurse: You can go see her
Then the nurse left and I slowly turned the doorknob and there she was...

Erika POV
So yeah. Thats the story of how Jake saved my life. Ever since then Jake has been super overprotective. Ive literally never had a boyfriend cuz of him. I guess its fine though. It saves me heart breaks. The only kinda fling I had was part of the reason I did what I did and his name was blake but he was just using me for my body.
